We were in a real dilemma trying to decide what hotel to stay in on 5/15 before we sail out (yes I know what rough life having to decide what hotel). After some thought we went with Radisson Resort at the Port. From those of you that have stayed at this resort in the past, do you have any tips, secrets, etc that you are willing to share. We will not utilize the port transfers. In addition, we are staying in a deluxe double.

be sure to make your reservations when you check in to take the shuttle over in the morning if you will need to go that route.

I found the radisson a little disorganized at check in. But we had a wonderful stay. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The laundry room leaves a little to be desired. Not great drying potential. The parking is limited in the front for checkin but if you go around to the south side there is tons of parking. We ate at a greek family restaurant close by.. It was fine and friendly. Breakfast we ate at the hotel restaurant.

I have booked a two room suite for our next cruise on March 20, 2004. It is close and convenient and serves a wonderful purpose and my 4 kids, mother and husband have plenty of room to spread out and repack before boarding the boat.

We drive down from Altoona, Iowa. Getting excited and packed away the christmas decorations...now it is time to start preparing for the cruise, our 2nd.:Pinkbounc :wave2: :earsgirl: :earsboy:

HI, SCOTTIE. WE ARE ON THE 5/15 CRUISE ALSO. WE ORIGINALLY BOOKED THE RADISSIN ALSO BUT THEN CANCELLED BECAUSE WE DECIDED TO STAY IN ORLANDO AND GO TO MK FOR A DAY. I HAVE HEARD NOTHING BUT WONDERFUL THINGS ABOUT THE RADISSON, THOUGH. SEE YOU ON 5/15.

I can't remember the name of it offhand, but we ate at the pizza place right next door. It was very good!

They make really really good Malibu Coladas at the bar inside the Radisson, and they'll put them in plastic cups to take to the pool. Great way to start a vacation. :)

I do remember the hotel has having a very nice fun bar...just right for the pool.. I am getting so excited....checking in on March 18th for two nights before the cruise on March 20th 2004.:bounce:  :Pinkbounc :bounce:  ::MinnieMo

Does anyone know if the regular king room has a pull-out couch?

The radison is a great hotel close to the port and the shuttle was FAST to and from the ship. The reason the front of the hotel has alot of cars is this is where they want you to park if you go on the cruise and on the left side of the hotel. I guess to keep the parking spaces close to the hotel for guests.
We had a standard room 2 double beds we thought it was kind of small till we saw our stateroom!!!!!
Do not upgrade to the cruise package as you can park there no matter what package you have.
Good Jimmy Buffett impersinator at the bar

We stayed at the Radisson the night before our 12/13 cruise 2 weeks ago. It was GREAT! I couldn't believe how much room we had... With 2 adults and 4 kids, it was the absolute best accommodation for us. If we ever wanted to vacation on the Space Coast, I could envision us staying there again for a longer stay than one night.

You can make your shuttle reservations before you arrive, though. Call them before you fly down and ask for the first shuttle of the day (usually around 10:30 a.m.).
