Booked my summer trip!

Yesterday I booked our Christmas trip in an OKW studio. This morning, I just booked a stay at an OKW 1 BR for 7/25-7/31. I also booked a studio for an aunt and her husband for the same time, also in OKW. I am just really excited (and to make it even better, I got PS for CRT for all 6 of us !!!!)

Now I'll be trying to learn as much about the OKW layout as I possibly can. I also need to find the resort map as well as the threads on the pool's slide construction.

Any help, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Maps are on the member website, and the pool construction is scheduled for fall and supposed to be completed by the end of the year. My guess is it will be closed awhile.

Can I ask why you booked a 1 bedroom and a studio instead of a 2 bedroom? It always seems so much more convenient to me to stay in a 2 bedroom, and it is less points than a 1 bedroom plus a studio.

I booked the studio and the 1 BR b/c my DH does not like people rooming with us...he likes his own space as does my aunt and her husband. Also, their trip is only 4 days. So I booked what I thought was best for us. If it turns out that this was not the best way to go, then I'll learn from my mistakes. Right now, I am just too excited!

I am still new to DVC, but couldn't you have reserved a 2 bdrm. with a lock-off? If I understand correctly, that would give you the door between the two rooms so you could still have your privacy. It would have saved a few points.

I totally understand. My DH would feel exactly the same. A little space as well as a door can give more of a feeling of privacy.

Hi, we are looking to go at the same time. July 26 thru July 30th. Did you look into any other resorts? I am waiting for my member # so I can make a ressie. I need just a studio for this time. Thanks
