Well I did it. Booked 4 tickets out of La Cross, WI for june 26 to July 11. $255 a person. I wanted to wait for a better deal but figured prices have been going up and I didn't want to stress about it anymore. What a reliefe. :hyper:

I am a Milwaukee native who now lives in Minneapolis.....GO PACK!!!! Anyway.... I love Midwest Airlines....huge seats are leather, only two people in a row...and those hot chocolate chip cookies. The cookies where so hot and delicious the chocolate stuck to the napkin. They also served some hot calzone pizza like things that where really good. That flight was Milwaukee to Washington, D.C.

NOT TO MENTION THAT THE WHOLE PLANE IS FIRST CLASS. Everyone on the plane got the "royal" treatment.

The last time I flew Midwest was in December. The flight attendants where really nice. Plus on the flight to DC my ears where ringing like crazy, I though my head was going to pop. The flight attendant notice my discomfort when I was constantly pulling, tugging, and holding my ears. She offered me some gum and earplanes. I miss them :(

Enjoy your flight because they have the best service on board.

I got to pay $300+ dollars on my tickets for NWA! Boooo.......

The layover would have been to long to flight with Midwest out of MSP.

I would highly recommend anyone flighting out of Mitchell International to flight Midwest!!!! This is a personal review from an average single mom would doesn't have a whole lot of money to spend but would pay extra to flight Midwest in a heartbeat.

Oh, I also miss the Channel 6 News....they never get the weather right in Minnesota...where is Vince when you need him.

I would also like to give a two thumbs up to Midwest. From a passenger perspective, they are a great airline to fly and well worth the money.

Have a great trip!

wow,

Sounds awesome to me. Wished they flew out of Rochester.

Maybe I should drive to Lacrosse instead of MSP!

Give us a report when you return

herc.

just so you don't get too excited - the planes to Orlando are no longer leather seats - they are regular seats like the other airlines - they are under their new super saver service. I'm sure it will still be nice though - I believe you still get the cookies!!!

on Midwest. On the more popular routes like Orlando - Milwaukee & Milwaukee - Las Vegas the seating is 3x2, forget the comfy leather seats and the decent meals.
Now you can purchase a deli sandwich in-flight. When we took them to Vegas back in Nov the sandwiches were $10. We ate before the flight and had our own snacks in the air. You still get the cookies though. But overall the level of service has gone way down.
Only reason we still fly Midwest is that they are non-stop and Mitchell Field is a lot easier to deal with than O'Hare.

Well the first couple of responces go me exited anyways. The only thing I'm nervouse about is when we chang planes in Milwaukee we only have 30 minutes. I don't see how that is enough time. But I guess they have people flying that all the time and if it wasn't possible they wouldn't book it that way. I can't wait for the fresh cookies. Yummy.

Don't worry, 30 minutes is plenty of time. If you have to change plains the gate will be right next to yours. Never have had a problem connecting in Milwaukee from Appleton.

Thank you, that's what I wanted to hear. Now I won't worry for the next 3 months.

We used to fly Midwest all the time - but now that they have lowered the level of service I cannot justify paying more for them.

We can drive to Milw. for Midwest or to Chicago Midway for ATA. They are both direct flights and the price on ATA is always less.

So sad :( we used to love Midwest when they were a premier airlines

This was pretty much the cheapest option for me. Could have flown out of msp for just a few dollars less but it's an extra hour and a half drive, parking is more, and the flight times were not as good. I'm just happy to have it done and paid for.

We will be flying Midwest on 3/20/04 to WDW.
The service is still pretty good and we've used frequent flyer miles for 5 trips now down to see Mickey (of course it takes a few trips to build that up) But I want Midwest to stay in MKE so we all need to help them if cost is a wash
