Hi all!

Just booked my honeymoon today for Jan 26-Feb 4, we were so excited that the DDP was included!

We would love some suggestions on where to go, we haven't been back since 2001 and I'm sure much has changed!

Thanks so much!:wizard:

For a honeymoon, I think California Grill is the way to go. It's not a quiet place (unless you request the wineroom). The view is spectacular. I loved the sushi there and they had a great selection of main course dishes that were different from other places. We told them at the start of dinner that we wanted a relaxed pace and that's just what we got. I have been back several times and the food quality remains good as well as the service.

Check out allears.net to see the menus and read reviews. My personal favourites include Le Cellier, Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia, 'Ohana, Yak&Yeti, and Wolfgang Puck Express. For buffets I love Tusker House and Crystal Palace for breakfast, and Cape May Cafe for dinner. I haven't done any signatures. Have a Happy Honeymoon!

I second Cali Grill. It is super romantic. Are you looking for signature dining? Is there anything you particularly like or dislike to eat?? Here are my favs--

Favorite Breakfasts:
Kona
Starring Rolls
Main Street Bakery

Favorite Lunch:
Captain's Grille
Kona (again....)
Rose & Crown

Favorite Dinners:
'Ohana
Raglan Road
California Grill

We are adventurous eaters and will always try something new.

we LOVE seafood and sushi, the must see on our list so far is the Japanese Pavillion.

Thanks for such great options!!

Keep 'em coming! :woohoo:

My family LOVED the food at Tutto Italia !!!! The atmosphere is very nice and the wait staff is very attentive.... gotta love the accents :thumbsup2

We were walk in , it was not planned.. and they it ended up being their favorite meal...

(DH 48, DD22, DS 17, DD 9 and me 48... just to let you know I have an older family.. not talking happy meals..hahaha)

Congratulations! We have been lucky enough to go w/o the kids--by which I only mean that is wonderful to have couple-only time like a honeymoon--and so we like to dress a bit and have a leisurely dinner. We like:
Dinenr: Cali Grill
Citricos
The Wave
Flying Fish (noisy, not so romantic but great food and fun)

Breakfast: Crystal palace--character buffet
GF Cafe...quiet, good food
The Wave
Kona Cafe

Hope you have a fabulous honeymoon.

I'm not sure of the dates you are going but Disney has a wonderful but simple desert private part on the Terrace at Magic Kingdome. It's a seperate dining activity ticket by reservation only for about 50 people. It has an excellent view of the fireworks and they offer maybe 30+ deserts. It is also romantic. We went with another couple and probably had 10,000 calories on our table at any given time. I think the info is in the dining activity section on the web site.popcorn::

Cali grill - great sushi
Flying fish - one of my favorite restaurants on property
Narcoosee's - try the crispy whole snapper (the surf and turf - lobster and filet) is pretty good too.

Happy honeymoon!

Are you on the DDP or DxDP? If its your honeymoon you might want to upgrade...that way you can do more signatures! :thumbsup2

I recommend pricing out upgrading your dining plan to the Deluxe Dining Plan (you will only have to pay the difference between the cost of the regular DDP and the DxDP, x2 of course). Many of the better, quieter restaurants (including many of the ones recommended above) are "signature" restaurants, meaning that they require 2 Table Service credits per person. With the deluxe plan, you get 3 TS credits per day per person, plus 2 snacks and refillable mugs, AND your TS credits include appetizers, which aren't included in the regular DDP. It is a great deal, if you can swing it. With the DxDP, you might have a sit-down breakfast or lunch, plus a "signature dinner." I think this plan would be ideal for adults traveling alone who want to enjoy the best of the restaurants in WDW.

Thanks everyone!

I made a few reservations today:

T-Rex at DTD (my fun pick!)
Yak & Yeti
California Grill
Teppan Edo
and 'Ohana

cant wait!

Narcoossee's! I just recently got engaged at Disney and Narcoossee's at GF was just perfect!! It was quiet and the wait staff(especially our server) were attentive and very accommodating. They let us take our wine with us as we went outside to watch the fireworks over in MK. The music plays while you watch. Then we went back to our tables to find our soups waiting for us. C'est magnifique!

We loved it so much that we are going back on our next trip. Wherever you go, I'm sure it will be great!! :thumbsup2

Congratulations!! :cheer2:

Personally I would pick another Epcot restaurant (or one at one of the Epcot resorts, such as Yachtsman steakhouse or Flying Fish) instead of Teppan Edo. TE is ok, but its just like any other japanese steakhouse you may have in your hometown. Epcot offers much more unique dining experiences than that, IMO. Just my 2 cents, do what makes you happy!

Trex might also be quite load and not so romantic, but you probably already guessed that. ;)

I would seriously look into upgraded to deluxe (if you get free dining its not too much more per day - about 30-35 pp) and you get so much more for your money. You could eat at all the places you have listed plus a bunch of signatures! And like others have said, you get apps. On your honeymoon you are probably going to be ready to eat!! And its a once in a lifetime trip.

Again, just my 2 cents...

Happy planning!

Ill tell you where we ate on our honeymoon and add a few of my faves..

San Angel Inn very romantic ambiance! Quality of food has improved from what I hear.

Coral Reef, was a bit loud but the whole ambiance was nice and waiter gave us a complimentary champagne toast.

Ohana, this has always been one of my faves, the tropical feel and sound to this place, I just feel in love, since Im in love with Hawaii anyway.. Can be loud but they can seat you in a corner or by a window so you can look out over Seven Seas Lagoon to MK, CR, GF. Plus the added bonus of watching fireworks from Ohana or even from the Poly dock!

Now my added faves that I think are nice and have good food and romantic ambiance..

Kona again at the Poly

Calli Grill, wonderful view, even more wonderful food and service!

Narcossee, so romantic after dark, a little loud sometimes but or waiter was so attentive, the lobster and filet were good, the almond encrusted cheese cake even better and the complimentary champagne for our anniversary was also a very classy touch! We went out on the porch and watched WIshes during dessert.
