Booked HHI 2 bedroom for July with no problems...

I called at my 7 month window and it was at almost 1:30 because I was at work and that was my break so I was a bit worried I had lost my chance. I booked Sunday through Friday depart on Sat. I didn't want to stay on that high point Sat. We arrive on the 18th and depart on the 24th. YAY

Yeah HOPE!!!! I was really worried because I could not make that call until way after lunch that day. I was so happy to get the Sunday through Friday too....I was sure it would be harder. Congrats to you too!!!

That's so great, because it's a hard reservation to get! DH and I simply loved the weekend stay we had at HHI,so really, good for you!!!!

I remember when you went ..wasn't that the end of Oct. or early Nov? I hope the older ones like the beach. I am a bit worried since HHI resort is not right on the beach. Is it convenient to hop the shuttle to go over there?

It is convenient to hop on the shuttle, but DH and I like to ride bikes, for fun, not serious exercise. It was a very nice bike ride over to the beach. We were at HHI for Halloween weekend. We truly enjoyed the resort, the whole scene, including the beach house. As soon as I read your post, I told DH about it. One DS and family are very likely moving to Jacksonville FL in 2010, and I can envision a HHI vacation for us. Your getting the reservation gives us hope, that we may be able to do that some July as well. We love VB, but we would also like to introduce them to HHI resort.

My brother just got back from 5 days in late October...even though it rained he was totally impressed with the island and is making plans for 2010 Thanksgiving trip!! He totally loved the beach house, resort location, just the whole area. He HATES Ocean City, so it was good to hear this from him!!

Oh we hate OC city. We have been three times...once in Dec. Once over Easter weekend and once in early June. None of us liked it on any of the trips.
