Booked First Trip to Disneyland

Just finalized our first trip to DL for the end of June and we're so excited! We've done WDW and DCL several times. Ready to learn from all of you so share your best tips for June crowds.

We're staying at Candy Cane Inn.

We are doing the parks June 21 and 22 and June 26 and 27. We may do one partial day between 22 and 26.

Any tips you have to help me begin planning are greatly appreciated.

I will assume that the legacy FP will still be in effect at DLCA in june (I hope so as we will be there end of June as well). Best advice I have is to hit the park as early as possible and start collecting FP's to use after the slated return time, assuming they still allow that. Not sure if RSR allows that, may want to check. RSR is a mad rush and wait times get up to 3hrs in a hurry. I would definitely make it a first AM priority. Not sure if you have children on the trip or not, but Redwood Creek Challenge Trail by Grizzly River Run turned out to be a favorite of our two boys. It's a must do every time we are in DLCA.

we will be there the same time! I haven't been this time but our last trip was toward the end of July and I didn't think the crowds were to bad we used FP and took breaks in the afternoon and got there early.

Thanks. My daughter is 15 (She'll be almost 16 by June). We are going for VidCon -That's what she asked for as her Christmas gift, and of course, if we get that close to DL, I'm not going to miss out on going. So her Christmas present has turned into a pretty big trip. LOL\

We always go to WDW during school breaks so are accustomed to opening the parks and taking afternoon breaks.

I'm hoping and looking forward to the legacy FP as I do not like the new system.

It is no longer possible to use any fast pass after the return time, that ended in 2012.

Get PH tickets and get to the parks at RD as you can get so much done during those first few hours.

The FP systems in each park are not connected so you can hold FP's in each park.

Get a FP for RSR for after dark for sure.....the ride is an entirely different experience at night than during the day

We are rope droppers in WDW so for sure will take advantage of that. We already have FP tickets so it's good to know they are not connected. We should be able to use that to our advantage for sure.
