As a major fan of Ezyshuttle I was disappointed this time:sad2:

Having used them 3 times before I knew what level of service to expect but.....we weren't picked up by John or his wife & when we got to the shuttle bus it had Iris shuttle written on it???

The guy spoke English but didn't really talk to us. He started off putting the radio on quite loudly, then switched it off & put on a DVD of Playhouse Disney which my 4 year old niece was enjoying until he switched it off with no explanation & blasted us with his loud music. We couldn't talk to him, or each other. Also, when he wasn't playing loud music he was on his mobile (not hands free).

The air con seemed to be blowing out warm air instead of cool, it was a very hot day & we were nearly passing out but he couldn't hear us asking him to open a window over the volume of the radio.

When he dropped us off he said John sometimes gave his company jobs when he couldn't do the job himself, but I booked in January!

He said John would be in touch re pick up time, but when I hadn't heard anything the morning before we were due to leave I sent him a text. By late afternoon I was beginning to panic so I rang him & his wife confirmed our time.

I don't know which company picked us up. It wasn't John or his wife, but at least we got back.

I wish I hadn't recommended them now, as they seem to have got too busy:sad1:

I would say that even booking so early in advance wouldn't necessarily guarantee you John as your driver as he could have been sick or unable to drive on those days for any number of reasons. I'm new to Ezyshuttle having used them for the first time on Tuesday and even though we booked last September the driver obviously wasn't John as he was French (!) but he was really pleasant and when we got to Orly he insisted on taking us into the terminal, up in the lift and to our correct zone! I'd have no hesitation recommending them or using them again.

It's a shame you were disappointed this time. It's a bit of a double-edged sword, isn't it - you recommend someone or something in order to share and help them and others but sometimes wish you had kept things to yourself.

You just reminded me, as we were driving to Disney we passed John going the other way & our driver waved, so he wasn't ill.

I wouldn't have expected the driver to always be John, but if he couldn't do the job I think I should have been able to choose my second choice of company not him.

We used ezyshuttle a few weeks ago. I'm also pretty sure it wasn't John (unless he's French and has breasts).

The people carrier we got in was unbranded so I don't know if it was actually them or they'd passed our details on. The service was excellent though and the driver was waiting for us both times. On the way back she drove like a demon to make sure we didn't miss our flight (there was a lot of traffic).

Thanks to DisBoard we used ezyshuttle last week for our trip from the airport to Disney. Great company! We did get John, however. I asked him why someone got another company and not him, last month. He explained that if he is held up by a late flight then he has to contact another company that he trusts and they do the same for him. A little group of guys. I think ezyshuttle is a very small company, so they can't be every where.
Anyway, transfer was brilliant, Disney was brilliant. Stayed at the Sante Fé, cheap and cheerful. Took ezyshuttle back, brilliant (not John, a young girl). Can't wait to book again. Better start saving the pennies (euros).

Hi,
I know this is an old thread, but thought that I would add my bit.....
Ezyshuttle are known to be very reliable and are recommended on other DLP forums when posters ask about transfers. John is Irish, and married to a French lady named Fadua. She runs her own holiday property rental company ( has properties near DLP ) but helps with transfer driving as well if needed.

John also currently employs two lady drivers ( he says that women are better drivers for families than men! ) but also sub-contracts other drivers when necessary rather than refuse people.

As Ware Bear says, those of us who use John / Ezyshuttle are rather shooting ourselves in the foot when we recommend his company, as we now have to book him much further ahead. ( I book him as soon as I have booked my flights or Disney package ). Maybe we should keep quiet!!

I don't think John would use a driver/ company that he could not trust to be reliable, as he has his own reputation to consider.

Thanks for the additional info, Figgygirl. :goodvibes My brother-in-law is in the taxi business and I believe it's common practice to sub-contract out (if possible) rather than refuse/cancel.

I've booked Ezyshuttle again for next summer on the day I booked our flights but I really don't mind who drives us - so long as they turn up on time and get us there safely that's all that matters.

How much is the Ezyshuttle (2 adults, 1 3 year old) and how do you book?
