Booked DCL on points, may need to change date -can we make up difference in cash?

OK, we have a 7 night Disney Cruise in September booked using points. DH may not be able to go due to work schedule. If we decide to change this cruise to say, July --which would require more points, could we make the difference up in cash?

You could pay cash for 1 person but you can't do partial cash/points for 1 person. You are also going to have to pay a change fee.

Also, keep in mind if you cancel one person from your cruise ressie, those points go into Reservation status and cannot be used at the DVC resorts. You can cruise with one adult on points and one on cash, but there will be some penalties such as the points status and the additional $95 fee to change.
