I had been worried because DCL's Hawaiian cruise was arriving a few nights before our RCCL cruise. Most said I did not have to worry, and you were right! I was able to get 5 nights, OV 2 bedroom for us and our guests!

Bobbi:)

Glad to hear that you got what you were hoping for! I think you will really enjoy Aulani.

Congrats! Let the countdown begin!

Thank you, all!

Once we stay here, we will have stayed at all DVC resorts!:yay:

Today I decided to book the Poly for our pre DVC MC stay!

So so far, which one is your favorite? Least favorite?

When we first joined in 2003, there was no doubt that VWL would have been my answer to "favorite" and DH's as well. DH would still say so, but I can say that each one except OKW has won my heart. I have had very nice stays there, at OKW, but with my mobility issues I have "worried" a bit when booking OKW because I do need 1st floor or elevator buildings. Only once have I not gotten what I needed there, and that was difficult. The same idea happens at HHI, but each time I have asked for the building with an elevator there, I have gotten it.

I am hopeful that my surgery in April will make it easier for me to deal with steps. Then my answer will change.

So excited for you, Bobbi! Any trip to Hawaii is awesome and Aulani is such a lovely resort. Good luck on your surgery in April!

I'm so excited I could SCREAM! Our dream trip to Aulani is all booked and our dining reservations are in place. Next up, flight reservations and excursions!! YIPEEE!!!

Dining at the resort? I have not done any planning...trip is in September. I expect to do research while recovering from operation April 24.

We did a cruise of Hawaiian Islands in 1992, and we were with our teen sons then. Now there are 6 of us ranging from 62 to 77 years. A different sort of vacation this time!

Yes, they have two restaurants Ama Ama and Aunty's which is more like a Disney Character type restaurant. This is my first time going to Hawaii so I am doing a Luau, an Underwater Scooter excurstion, Horseback Riding and Pearl Harbor with a side trip to the Dole Plantation. I left room for relaxation with a trip to the Spa ... :)

Really, what is the Night Show "Ha"?

At the PCC, they have 7 polynesian countries you tour. (Think the names of the longhouses at Polynesian resort at WDW...Tonga, Tahiti, Samoa, Fiji, etc.) At the night show, they all dance their traditional dances. But this is unlike ANY other night show on the island (we saw 2 others) and they kicked it out of the park. They are each actually from this country and have all been dancing from the time they could walk. (My parents just got home of a mission trip at the PCC and were telling me all about it). It's fabulous! Here's the link. My 5 year old son saw it and asked to go again the next night. It tells the story of the breath of life through dance, the fire dancers are fabulous (and there's one famous guy there thats been there for years and is VERY talented and the best), etc.

AWESOME!! I just added this to my list of things that "must" be done! Our trip is really coming together! YES!!!

Wasn't planning on a luau outside of Aulani but now I'm wondering if it's worth the expense for the Polynesian Cultural Center "Ha"....:confused3

Based on what was said here, I have told our friends that we intend to do both luaus.
