I booked an ADR at Hollywood & Vine. Now I'm not sure if I should cancel it. If you had to choose between

Hollywood & Vine
50's Prime Time Cafe
Sci-Fi Dine In Theater

which would you choose & why? I've heard some negative things about H&V so now I'm not sure.

There will be Me, DH, DS(16), DS(14), DD(10).

Thanks for your input.

Personally, I would choose 50's Prime Time, but then again, that's the only one of those that we've been too! They have good old 'home cooked meals.' But perhaps, someone who's been to all three would be more help!

We ate at H & V last Friday night and it was truly awful. We will never return. It was, by far, the worst meal of our trip.
The restaurant was dirty and noisy, the selections were limited, and the food was not good.
They do have a nice make your own Sunday bar, but that was it.
I would eat anywhere else.

We had dinner at the Hollywood and Vine last year and it was really sad. We had been there on previous trips and always enjoyed their food. Last year the options were really limited. My DS could barely find anything he liked and I ended up eating a ton of salmon. It was good salmon but I really wanted a variety. Their offerings were not what they used to be.
I also vote for the 50's Prime Time. The give large portions of really good food. Don't worry about the games they play. The wait staff is really good at figuring out who wants to participate and who does not. We eat there every trip and really enjoy watching (not joining in much).

We were excited to try the new CM @ H&V but are not booking it for the above reasons. 50's food just looks gross, we're doing Sci Fi!

I have never had a totally bad meal at H&V and I have been going at least twice every year since the mid 80's. First time in 1978.
I have had some things that I did not like. Certainly there are times when I wish I was somewhere else because of all the kids playing the in food, but isn't that their parents fault not H&V's.
But IMO H&V is a good place for hearty meal. Not necessarily an excellent meal.
The bread selection is very good: always six or seven different types of bread and rolls. Three or four kinds of butter for the bread.
there is always at least three and sometimes four different salads, and various things to put on the salads.
Lots of potatoes, vegetables and usually a pot of backed beans.
The chicken is sometimes a bit bland, but there are condiments to make it taste better.
the flank steak is good, small portions but you can keep going back, or do what I do, just ask more more and do not leave until you get it.
the fish that is served is one of my favourites. Unfortunately,I am too timid to ask what kind of fish it is: but it is good.
The dessert buffet is one of the best in all of WDW.

I have never had a problem waiting for the servers: I always ask for two drinks as soon as I get seated and have never had to ask for a refill.
Sometimes the restaurant does get busy and the used plates do not get picked up quickly. I just move those plates aside, sooner or later someone will get them.

If this restaurant was where I lived, I definitely would not pay the asking price for this meal. But when at Disney, you pay the Disney price.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

You can book a Fantasmic package at H&V, get a good meal and great seats for Fantasmic. That is what we are doing. :thumbsup2
