We stopped off in NYC in 2002, would love to go back again but we want to stay in the same hotel(and room) as last time, Crowne Plaza Times Sq. We paid £150/nt back then now I never see it much under £275 a night. Can't bring myself to pay that for a hotel![]()

Wayne, sorry to hijackbut we have booked Crowne Plaza TS (for much less than £275/night

Really the hotel was nothing amazing, a good 4 star hotel but the view we had was the best we have ever had, overlooking TS and thru to the Empire State building. It was the view that made it special.

Thanks - that's what we figured
For a Deluxe room overlooking Times Square we have paid £130/night. We figured it doesn't matter too much about the hotel as even if it's not great, we won't be spending long in it![]()

Sounds great. We are going to NYC for the fist time in June.
I know what you mean Wayne, we are struggling to find a decently priced hotel. Most are coming up well over £170 per night - at least the ones in Manhattan are. And the hotel rooms are like half the size of those in Florida. And don't even get me started on 14.5% tax![]()
