Well, here I am again, back to my nasty trip planning ways!! I have been talking (very briefly) to my sister about a trip down to WDW with my family and her family using our DVC points and today apparently I needed a bit of a picker-upper so I went ahead and picked our dates and booked a 2 bedroom savannah view room in the new Kidani Village at AKV!!!! :dance3::cheer2::dance3:

I am pretty darned excited and have been spending the last hour or so of my work-day before the long weekend surfing the net for pictures of Kidani Village and day dreaming about our trip. I've extended my TGM membership and been checking out plane fares (which are really good - I can get Air Tran return for $145 each our of BUF). I've booked Jan 25 - Feb 1 which is far enough way from MLK Day, Presidents Week and all other impacted American holidays. Now, I just need to get a ticker and start planning which Parks on which days. I seriously either need help or need to become a travel agent!!!

And of course.....I really need my sister to agree to my plan, but thankfully I am the oldest so I can just force her into it!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Well - off to find a cute ticker.....and back to somewhat manic planning mode.

Good for you!! :thumbsup2 I love planning our trips! We are less than a month away from our first Disneyland trip.

We have also booked a two bedroom at Kidani on January 7 to the 17th. Kidani us our Home resort. This will be our first visit there.

I have a quick question for you, do you always fly out of Buffalo? We were worried about weather conditions at that time of year. We have have always flown at of Toronto at that time but with the price difference I am leaning towards Buffalo this time.

Have an awesome time planning your trip!! Before you know it will be here!:)

Congratulations . . . it just feels good, doesn't it!!!!!:yay:

We just became DVC members and have just booked our first trip to BLT in December. We got our Jet Blue for $119 each flight direct. The price just dropped yesterday afternoon - we had been watching it.

I live about 20 minutes from Uxbridge.

Just so you know that you're not alone, I have the same sickness. We were not taking a trip at all this year. This was the year to spend money on our house. Guess what ???? The windows will have to wait another year we are booked to go back to WDW.

Sorry it took a while to get back here! I do stress about the weather, but just can't get over the price difference....it least 1/2 the price to fly out of BUF if not more. I just keep an eye on the weather and worst case scenario we could leave the day before and stay over in BUF. Fingers crossed, we have not had any weather that has caused a flight delay - but I would think that given their proximity, any storm bad enough on BUF would likely also impact YYZ?? (or so I will keep tell myself!!!!!!!!). ;)

And, just an update - my sister has not gotten back to me about whether she is in or not for the trip (I sent her the note on Facebook) so I think I may have well and truly scared her with my unrelenting planning! :scared1:

Buffalo can get a lot of lake effect snow that never shows up north of the border. Luckily they are very experienced at dealing with it. Staying over the night before can offset the cost of parking at the airport.

I just thought I would post and say when you find a cure for this sickness you may want to post it on the boards.
We just got back from a 15 day trip in May that included the 4 night Dis Unplugged cruise.
We now have 3 more trips on the books to plan for!
DH says we are going to go broke, I told him to get another job.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
I see there are a few of you in Uxbridge.
I am in Oak Ridges and my chiropractor is in Uxbridge so I am out that way once a month.
I would love a chance to meet a few of you if you would like. :)

we will be there Jan. 24-Feb. 1 too!! We are staying at the BWV - I'm so excited!

I have the same sickness. My last trip was mid-March and here I am, back on the boards, debating about going in the fall or possibly holding off until Jan or Feb if I can.

We go in 10 days for 12 nights and my wife just stopped by and asked me if I wanted to go to F&W for our anniversary. It looks like we both have the disease. :rotfl2:

Don't sweat the Buffalo weather. I live in Fort Erie and it seems that in the last couple years Toronto has had worst weather than down here. Buffalo is so much cheaper, even if you have to throw in a hotel room for the night.
