Booked 2 rooms, same sign in

I booked 2 separate rooms (one for us, one for MIL). We are taking her with us on our trip in October as a thank you for all her help.

When I go to book our ADRs will I need to make 2 separate reservations? We are using DDP, and all want to dine together. I am not sure how this works with the linking of the DDP credits and such?

ADRs have nothing to do with the rooms. In fact you don't have to be staying at a Disnry resort.

Last year I made ADRs before I had booked our resi.

I don't have to link them to my DDP?

Hmm... it is easier than I thought then. I was all worried I would have to link with the DDP with the confirmation numbers, and not get us all in the same place together.

You don't have to be on any DDP. You can make ADRs and pay OOP.
When you sit down you tell your waiter you are on the DDP. That's all.

Thank you! This is only our second trip. Our first was easier for me because it was only one reservation.
