I usually like to book tickets and hotels directly to lower the risk of mistakes / miscommunications, but on the Disney website for Disneyland Paris, I don't see hotel only options. I can book my two two day park hoppers there. But if I book a hotel for three nights, the only option it gives me are four days tickets and we are just going to the parks for two days.

I see that there are other websites where I can book room only. Any recommendations as to what one to use? And as I am staying at the Disney Hotel even though I didn't book a package, am I correct that I still get early entry?

Thanks so much. We're WDW vets checking out Disneyland Paris for the first time.

Yes you will get early entry.

You can either :
- call Disney, they’ll be able to sell direct with only 2 days.
- use attractiontickets.com and build your own package.

Just make sure you check the prices. The custom package might not be cheaper than the 3 nights/4 days default package.

I usually use trivago.com, it is a platform that combines websites like booking.com, hotels.com etc.

And yes, make an overview first, as it can be just as expensive or more expensive. It rarily is a huge moneysaver.

Even when you plan to go into the parks for 2 full days, getting a package can help. On the day you arrive you can get in the park to watch the fireworks and get familiar with the park. Or on your departure day just go in for an hour or so for pick ups.

We did the package-- very convenient for checking in, having the tickets and hotel tied together on the app, no reservations needed for park days etc. And we arrived late afternoon on a Sunday and walked the parks for the scenery, castle (and dragon) and other walk-through areas and a few rides that had little wait time, did Studios on Monday with pool time at the Sequoia in the afternoon and Disneyland on Tuesday (less crowded), and nothing on Wednesday as we had to get to the airport. Had we had a later flight we could have used early entry on Wednesday-- but we felt we saw all the shows and rode all the rides we wanted.

Thanks Mikal and Karin!! How far in advance do they typically have packages available? Looking right now, it looks like they have them for eight months out (thru March). I'll have to see if they offer individual rooms as soon as they offer packages too.

It also looks like the less expensive hotels like the Santa Fe and Cheyenne sell out and can't easily be gotten last minute in certain seasons. I may grab a package when that's available, especially since they are refundable 7 days in advance. And I could rebook individual rooms and park hoppers if there is a big enough price difference, and if there is availability. I'd be OK doing the Newport Bay too, but would prefer the Santa Fe or Cheyenne to spend less.

I could see going into the parks the night we arrive being tons of fun (I'd much rather go into the parks than to the Disney Village, our original plan), so that would be worth something. That last day, though, we need to get to CDG (should take the 9 a.m. train) for a flight to Belfast, so all we would do that morning is check out and get to the train station. I did the math for a mock Sept. 2022 booking. Cheyenne and Santa Fe were not available as a package or individually for the dates I was looking at. A package at the Newport would run $215 more than booking three nights there and two, two day park hoppers. For that differential I'd probably book individually, but I could probably be convinced either way. If I let my 26 year old Disney loving grown up child pick, I think he'd say to do the package for the extra time at the park (would think it was worth the extra money), and he'd probably even opt to leave Paris earlier on that day. I love Paris, though, and would be more inclined to do more stuff there on the travel to Disney day day and take a later train. We have four nights in Central Paris (1st arrondissemont) before heading to DIsneyland, though, so I'll probably cater to DS.

We're having lots of fun planning this trip.

Just to be clear, you do not need a package deal to get your reservations included. It's your hotel pass that let's you in without checking for a reservation.

@kathy884 when do you plan to go? September 2022 starts in 6 weeks, so by now the cheap options, also in low season, might not be there anymore for a package deal.

We're not going till Sept. of 2023. I was looking at Sept. 2022 to get an idea of what me might like to do, costs, etc.

It's too late now to get a good idea for what September 2023 would cost. I would suggest to start looking late 2022, early 2023. Packages can be released somewhere between 8 and 11 months in advance.
