book than change to points reservation??

Can i book a room now, then at the 11 month window, change it to a DVC reservation?? Is that allowed? I'm just worried that i won't be able to get a room at 11 months. I'm trying for AKV 12/6-12/10 2009, and I know that that is prime season because of the low points.

This is of course assuming i can find someone to rent me points for that time. (Hint hint hint)

No, DVC reservations are separate from CRO reservations. You shouldn't have a problem getting an AKV reservation at 11 months for those dates.

You are overly concerned. If you call 11 months out, you will be able to get AKV that time of year.

As DebbieB said, it isn't possible. Cash rooms come from a completely different inventory than points rooms.

AKV is going to be huge. You should have absolutely no problem booking at the 11 month window, even for December.

I don't think CRO/WDWTC has cash DVC rooms available prior to the 11 month mark, anyway.

Just wanted to say that i've calmed down a bit since the announcement of BLT and THV's! Those 2 new resorts are supposed to be opening next fall, so hopefully that will make it even easier to get AKV for my week. If only VWL had a less expensive room for 5! that's where I really wanted to stay!
