HELP! They have Columbus, OH to Orlando for $234 RT. We'd be flying back right before Thanksgiving 21,22 or 23. Would you book this rate or wait for DING? Most of the Dings I've seen were $189. Just don't know if I'd get a Ding to fly right before Thanksgiving!

Are you willing to pay $234? Book it and hope to rebook with a Ding fare. I'd expect the Thanksgiving flights to sell out and I'd expect the fares to go up not down.

I agree with Lewisc -- book now. If the fares go down you can always get a credit for future use. Since Thanksgiving is a very busy travel week, prices will likely go up instead of down.

Does anyone know, if I bought SW airfare then DING comes out, can I just book Ding with the credit I would get for cancelling my flight??? Or would I have to buy airfare for regular fare, cancel , buy Ding fare, and just get credit for a future flight after this trip? R u guys following me? What I am trying to say is that I don't have enough money to pay for airfare now and then if I find it cheaper book more airfare and use my first airfare's money for a future trip that I may not take.........I would need that first airfare's money back in my wallet now???

Yes and No, you can open up a second browser window, cancel your first reservation and use the ticketless funds to book your DING flight. You won't get money in your wallet. The extra money will be a credit that you'll have to use within a year.

Southwest tells me that if I want to book a lower rate, go online and make sure its available, then when booking enter my confirmation number for the flight I had previously booked and I will get the credit. Be sure the less expensive flight is available otherwise you could end up paying more.
