Does anybody have a great book that they have read? If you do please tell me the name and author!!!

Night- Elie Wiesel
WARNING: on the Holocaust it is graphic at times but a good read

The Lovely Bones- Alice Seabold

Kingdom Keepers- Ridley Pearson

Twilight Saga- Stephaine Meyer

i have read these and all are very good.

I would suggest Flood by Richard Doyle, but it's about a plausible storm surge causing a flood in London.

Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson is a fun book set in Walt Disney World.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime was a good read. About a boy with autism who wants to find out who killed his neighbours dog.

The Hound of the Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
Frozen Rodeo by Catherine Clark
Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point, or Digital Fortress (Especially) by Dan Brown.
House by Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti
Water for Elements by Sara Gruen
The Rope Walk by Carrie Brown
The Book Theif by Markus Zusak (LOVE this book)
Harry Potter Series
The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold.
House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast
Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

There is also two others that I cannot remember the names of.
One is a very adult book (If you're mature I'm sure you can handle it) but it's SO good. It has a building on it with a tree beside and a lightning strike in the background. I think it starts with a D.

Breach of Promise by James Scott Bell was that one.

looking for alaska-john green
an abundance of katherines- john green.
paper towns- john green

Jodi Picoult. Go look her up. Read any of the books she's written. They're marvelous.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. (also on the Holocaust, but not as graphic as night. you might want to have a little bit of knowledge about WWII before you read this.)

Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier.
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.
Cut by Patricia Mccormick.
Go Ask Alice by Anonymous.

Also, the Pretty Little Liars Series by Sara Shepard.

I know it sounds a bit silly, but for some reason I absolutely LOVE Steven King (in fact, i just got a copy of the shining today!!! MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER!)

Lets see...what else.

Oh!
John Green. (Thanks Shelby! I finally read his books and thought they were outstanding)

I also suggest "To Kill a mockingbird" we had to read that this year, and I thought it was stunning.

Lily's crossing is also really really REALLY good.

and...for a fun read (way fun!) 'Ghost Hunting" by Jason Hawes.

And another with a little girl hugging her dad's leg, and it's beach something. House maybe? If I find them I'll Edit.

I would also suggest that book, im only about 90 pages into it and im already attached

Ok well I suck with authors so I'll give you titles, and authors if I can.

Winnie The Pooh Series - A. A. Somethingorother

Inkheart Trilogy - Cornelia Funke

Uglies Series - Scott Westerfield (I think that's his last name)

Westing Game - Eleanor Raskin (not sure about first name)

Flight 29 Down - IDK who wrote it

I agree with The Lovely Bones.

Or any book by Gregory Maguire (Wicked, LOST, Mirror Mirror).

I think it's Westerfeld. I'm not sure, though.

My favorites:
Full Tilt-Neal Shusterman.
"Sixteen-year-old Blake has always been the responsible one in his dysfunctional family -- the one who drives safely, gets good grades, and looks after his wild younger brother, Quinn. Quinn is his brother's opposite -- a thrill-seeker who's always chasing the next scary rush, no matter what the cost. But Quinn and Blake are in for the surprise of their lives when they're thrust into the world of a bizarre phantom carnival -- and their souls are the price of admission.

In order to save his brother, and himself, Blake must survive seven different carnival rides before dawn. Seven rides...it sounds easy. But each ride is full of unexpected dangers, because each ride is a reflection of one of Blake's deepest fears. And the last ride is the worst one of all. Because that's the one that confronts Blake with a terrifying secret from his past -- a secret he's been running from for years.

Full of roller-coaster twists and turns, Neal Shusterman's latest page-turner is an Orpheus-like adventure into one boy's psyche.
"

Define Normal by Julie Anne Peters.
"Antonia is a "priss," Jazz is a "punk." Antonia belongs to the math club. Jazz hangs out at the tattoo parlor. Antonia's parents are divorced and her mother struggles to pay the rent. Jazz is from a traditional family and lives in a mansion with a pool. But when these two very different girls find themselves facing each other in a peer-counseling program, they discover they have some surprising things in common. Alternately hilarious and heart-wrenching, this is an absorbing read that will keep audiences thinking and laughing."

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.
"Melinda Sordino busted an end-of-summer party by calling the cops. Now her old friends won't talk to her, and people she doesn't even know hate her from a distance. The safest place to be is alone, inside her own head. But even that's not safe. Because there's something she's trying not to think about, something about the night of the party that, if she let it in, would blow her carefully constructed disguise to smithereens. And then she would have to speak the truth. This extraordinary first novel has captured the imaginations of teenagers and adults across the country."
WARNING: This is a mature book, it involves rape.

Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko.
"Moose Flannagan moves with his family to Alcatraz so his dad can work as a prison guard and his sister, Natalie, can attend a special school. But Natalie has autism, and when she's denied admittance to the school, the stark setting of Alcatraz begins to unravel the tenuous coping mechanisms Moose's family has used for dealing with her disorder.

When Moose meets Piper, the cute daughter of the Warden, he knows right off she's trouble. But she's also strangely irresistible. All Moose wants to do is protect Natalie, live up to his parents' expectations, and stay out of trouble. But on Alcatraz, trouble is never very far away.

Set in 1935, when guards actually lived on Alcatraz Island with their families, Choldenko's second novel brings humor to the complexities of family dynamics and illuminates the real struggle of a kid trying to free himself from the "good boy" stance he's taken his whole life.
"

Invisible by Pete Hautman.
"Lots of people think Doug Hanson is a freak -- he gets beat up after school, and the girl of his dreams calls him a worm. Doug's only refuge is creating an elaborate bridge for the model railroad in his basement and hanging out with his best friend, Andy Morrow, a popular football star who could date any girl in school. Doug and Andy talk about everything -- except what happened at the Tuttle place a few years back.

It does not matter to Andy that we live in completely different realities. I'm Andy's best friend. It does not matter to Andy that we hardly ever actually do anything together.

As Doug retreats deeper and deeper into his own reality, long-buried secrets threaten to destroy both Doug and Andy -- and everything else in Doug's fragile world.
"

This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen.
"When it comes to relationships, Remy doesn't mess around. After all, she's learned all there is to know from her mother, who's currently working on husband number five. But there's something about Dexter that seems to defy all of Remy's rules. He certainly doesn't seem like Mr. Right. For some reason, however, Remy just can't seem to shake him. Could it be that Remy's starting to understand what those love songs are all about? From acclaimed author Sarah Dessen, this is a captivating novel about a tough-as-nails girl and the unexpectedly charming boy who's determined to soften her up."

Private series by Kate Brian. (Private is the first book)
"Tradition, Honor, Excellence...and secrets so dark they're almost invisible

Fifteen-year-old Reed Brennan wins a scholarship to Easton Academy -- the golden ticket away from her pill-popping mother and run-of-the-mill suburban life. But when she arrives on the beautiful, tradition-steeped campus of Easton, everyone is just a bit more sophisticated, a bit more gorgeous, and a lot wealthier than she ever thought possible. Reed realizes that even though she has been accepted to Easton, Easton has not accepted her. She feels like she's on the outside, looking in.

Until she meets the Billings Girls.

They are the most beautiful, intelligent, and intensely confident girls on campus. And they know it. They hold all the power in a world where power is fleeting but means everything. Reed vows to do whatever it takes to be accepted into their inner circle.

Reed uses every part of herself -- the good, the bad, the beautiful -- to get closer to the Billings Girls. She quickly discovers that inside their secret parties and mountains of attitude, hanging in their designer clothing-packed closets the Billings Girls have skeletons. And they'll do anything to keep their secrets private.
"
WARNING: This series has a lot of mature content.

That's all I can think of for now. xD

Maximum Ride by James Patterson. I just started reading them- its about five kids who have some bird DNA in them- they have wings! Its really cool, lots of action.

anything written by ted dekker is good.
also some classics:
little women - louisa may alcott
portrait of a lady - henry james?
northanger abbey - jane austin. anything by her is good, really.
a thousand tomorrows - i forget who its by sorry

I'm reading A Great And Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray right now. It's a very good read. Kind of slow moving, but still really good.

I know probably half of the people here are sick of Twilight, but if you haven't read it yet, I recommend it. It's all fun, no educational value whatsoever, kind of cheesy, but good nonetheless. I'm a sucker for love stories of any kind. :]

Gone by Micheal Grant
Rose Red Diary by Ellen Rimbauer
Evermore by Alyson Noel
Harlequin Series-my favorite

The Outsiders-S.E. Hinton
The Westing Game- Ellen Raskin
Fever 1793-Laurie Halse Anderson
Twilight Saga-Stephenie Meyer
