I would suggest Flood by Richard Doyle, but it's about a plausible storm surge causing a flood in London.

Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson is a fun book set in Walt Disney World.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime was a good read. About a boy with autism who wants to find out who killed his neighbours dog.

I know it sounds a bit silly, but for some reason I absolutely LOVE Steven King (in fact, i just got a copy of the shining today!!! MY FAVORITE MOVIE EVER!)

I also suggest "To Kill a mockingbird" we had to read that this year, and I thought it was stunning.

Lily's crossing is also really really REALLY good.

Maximum Ride by James Patterson. I just started reading them- its about five kids who have some bird DNA in them- they have wings! Its really cool, lots of action.

I'm reading A Great And Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray right now. It's a very good read. Kind of slow moving, but still really good.

I know probably half of the people here are sick of Twilight, but if you haven't read it yet, I recommend it. It's all fun, no educational value whatsoever, kind of cheesy, but good nonetheless. I'm a sucker for love stories of any kind. :]
