Book Report night

Anybody read with their children Mummies in the Morning from the Magic Tree House series? My newphew is doing a report and one question is what is the main idea of the story! He can tell me the whole story, but not sure what to put down as the main idea! Thanks!

Have him tell you in one sentence what the book is about. Jack and Annie travel to ancient Egypt and discover a mummy in a pyramid. I haven't read it in quite awhile, but I think it is something along those lines.

It is not uncommon for kids to have a harder time with main idea rather than retelling. It would be easier to do a chapter rather than a whole book.
