I just had to share. Went to NYC for the weekend and my friend won the Book of Mormon lotto and took me! For those who don't know, 2 hours before the show, they have a lotto where you can get front row tickets for $32 (a lot less than the $140 regular priced tickets). You put your name in and you are chosen, you can buy 2 tickets. There were well over 200 people there and only 18 seats. My friend got picked and it was amazing! I literally was sitting front row center.

The show is hilarious. I was literally bent over holding my stomach from laughing so hard. There are some very funny Orlando related jokes in there too.

It is going to be around for a long time, that is for sure.

You have to go to the theater about 2 1/2 hours before the show starts. They will give you a card to fill out and you put it in their bucket. Then exactly 2 hours before curtain they draw names from the bucket. If you are one of the lucky ones you get to buy the tickets. The first 8 seats are in the front row and the last 8 are in the box seats above. Pretty amazing! So if you want to try for a 2pm matinee get there between 11:30 and 12:00 and put your name in. Good luck!

Today I was just listening to the cast album. Everytime I listen to it I want to jump on a plane to NY so I can see it live.

I bought the cast recording when it was .99 but I haven't listened to it. I think I have to wait until my kids aren't around me!

we stayed at the hotel right across the street - people were in line for tickets every morning starting at about 9 am....

(i bought our tickets 5 months ago - a few months before it won the tony)

We saw the show in previews (my husband is friends with one of the writers) and then I won the lottery on 9/11. It is a fantastic show. We've gotten some tickets for friends through my husband's job, and everyone has had a great time, even my 84 year old grandma and 90 year old grandpa.
