I don't think people realize that you don't have to accept the change when AT sends it to you. I think the email containing the change required me to click on a link to accept the change. I called instead.
They never sent us a change notification. Which is why I say be careful.
I happened to be checking our flights ( because of posts from other Disers complaining about Airtran) and noticed the flights were gone.
Also, accepting a change only works if there are reasonable options available.
If they decide to change flights like removing all the non stop flights to 3 hr layovers, that is not OK with me.
Yes they were able to cancel our flights, no problem over the phone, which is good to know. No fee to cancel because they made the change.
This was for Feb. by the way. Not a real busy time, so I'm sure that is why they downsized flights.
This is just my experience. Cheapest isn't always the best route. I have seen (and booked) $72.00 fares from Jet blue to Orlando.
Oh, and I checked the dates on Jet blue you have in you Signature,,,Nov.4th to the 18th, and I got a price of $1160.00 for 4 Buffalo to Orlando.
Sometimes if you clear your browser, you get a different price.
Hope that helps.
Also if you book and the price drops, you will recieve credit for a future flight.
Airtran does not do that.
