I thought so, but I got kind of excited there thinking DD's and Ferb could make some new Disney friends. Oh well...

What is in that Welsh Dragon? It looks green and delicious! LOL

It IS delish!! Here's the recipe..

Recipes
Welsh Dragon
Rose and Crown
United Kingdom - Epcot

Ingredients

3/4 ounce peach schnapps
3/4 ounce melon liqueur
1/2 ounce green crème de menthe
to taste orange juice
to taste pineapple juice

Method of preparation:

Mix all ingredients together, blending well. Pour over ice. Enjoy!

I love it!! So refreshing on a hot day walking around the WS!!

Minor update on flights...
I totally freaked when I saw an itinerary change email from Airtran this morning in my mailwasher. They are notorious for changing itineraries and removing direct flights and replacing them with in-direct. So of course I freaked thinking we were going to have an in-direct flight shoved down our throats.:headache: I opened it up and low and behold it's actually a better itinerary than I booked for. Our flight home was supposed to leave at like 5:20 and now it's 6:40! YAY!! And it's still direct. Love having another hour in WDW!!!
Now let's just hope they don't ruin a good thing and switch it around again.pixiedust:

And totally off topic, I just got home from doing my grocery shopping "over the river" (translation: in the US). I try to do all of my shopping there now..it's so much cheaper. I am a US citizen as well, so it's no biggie for me to go back and forth multiple times a week, I was just there last night visiting my DBro and baby niece!:cloud9: But anyways, I was in the checkout and grabbed a bottle of pop to drink on the car ride home. I got a Cherry Coke Zero. OMG!! First of all, you have to understand that we can't get Cherry Coke at all in Canada. :sad1: But, now they have Cherry Coke Zero?!?! OMG!!! That stuff is the Nectar of the gods!!!:lovestruc I know, I need to get a life!:lmao:

Day 8:
Monday October 29

Well....the week is winding down and it's our last day at Magic Kingdom.:sad1:

Photo2262FourBySix-1.jpg

We will have visited this park two other times, once on a regular day and once for MNSSHP. This is our only day where the park will be open for a full day as there is no MNSSHP scheduled this day. We should probably not be here today...it's a TP no-no to visit MK on a Monday and with there being no party everyone else will have similar plans to take advantage of the full day. However, if we want to see the night parade and Wishes it's our only chance. So, sacrifices must be made. Park hours are listed as 9-9 for now, and TP's has it listed as 4.3 and a neutral park. This has changed from TP's original listing of 1.1. HUGE change if you ask me, but not one that was unexpected given the previous info listed.:confused3

Anyways, today will be a more relaxed tour of the park only because we will have been here twice and we will have some more crowds to deal with. After breakfast in the room we will arrive early for Rope Drop of course and then follow the masses to Fantasyland. Not my ideal plan, but we will want to ride the new rides as many times as possible I'm sure. But then we will boogy out of there and head over to Frontierland to ride our fave! BTMRR!! Gonna have to ride that one a few times!:thumbsup2

100_2780-1.jpg

We will have met lots of characters by now but if there are any we have missed we will try to find them today. And ride anything that we may have missed as well. This will be our "catch up" day. Depending on what we do for dinner we may have lunch in the park at a counter service or if the weather is nice we will head back to WBC for lunch and an afternoon break. This has worked well for us in the past to break up the commando touring that can wear you down. A swim or a nap can do wonders for your mind, body and soul!:cloud9:

If BOG opens up in time for our week this would be a great night to have dinner there. If not, we may have dinner at a monorail resort before re-entering the park to finish the night off. I think we were discussing giving 1900 Park Faire another shot. We had dinner there in 2009. It was fun, but also a little overwhelming. But now that we are used to how it works with Characters and the girls are older, I think we could really have fun with the stepsisters and Lady Tremaine.

There have been some rumblings here on the Disboards regarding MSEP and Spectromagic. I know that there are debates constantly regarding which is the better parade.
We all have our own opinions, even with in this family we have differing opinions.

181-1.jpg

Personally, I prefer Spectromagic.

100_1183-1.jpg

However, I think that no matter which one is on in Oct we are going to make the time to see it. We found a sweet spot in Jan, but also we have the one Ferb and I found in Oct for MNSSHP. I think we would be happy with either. Just going to depend on those crowds which one we can get. It's kind of stressful trying to keep your spot so it will depend on how the girls are handling it all. Stitch tends to get uncomfortable with these situations. Another bribe might be necessary.;)

But that's it, once Wishes is over we will join the mass exodus and head back to WBC for our last night there. Tomorrow is a busy day....early morning and late night....have we scheduled too much into our last day? Wait and see...

Day 9:
Tuesday October 30

Sadly, this is our final day at WDW.:sad2::sad1:

This is also the day when we have to pony up and earn our discounted park tickets. Ferb and the girls will be attending the Wild By Nature YES class at Animal Kingdom. The class starts at 8:30 AM so we will need to get everyone up and ready and have breakfast early.

The class is supposed to last 2 1/2 hours. We all have a park ticket for this day in order to get them into the class. Whether we decide to stay at AK for a little while together after the class ends we have yet to decide. I am leaning towards having them take a taxi over to the park and I will pack while they are gone and then meet them at AK when they finish and maybe spend an hour our two there together.

Or I may just have them take the car and stay, let that one day ticket go to waste and take my time packing and have them come back and we can hang at the pool and maybe have a late lunch at Earl of Sandwich at DTD before we head to the airport. I have a feeling it's going to be a game day decision. It will depend on how tired everyone is, how much packing I have left to do and whether I can handle wasting a ticket like that!:scared1:

Our flight home is now scheduled for 6:40. Knowing Ferb and his anxiety over missing our flight, we will be at the airport with the car already having been returned and standing in the terminal by 4:40. I can understand his worry, it would be horrible if we were still standing in the security line still waiting while our flight was boarding. I think he might even have nightmares about this kind of thing. My nightmares usually center around not having park tickets or money for food....we all have our worries.:guilty:

Or flight should land around 9:15 depending on if we are on time or not. Then we have a 45 minute drive home...it will be a late night and the girls will be going to school the next day as it's Halloween and they want to participate in all the festivities! I have a feeling we won't be trick or treating very late this year.:upsidedow

Well, that's it for our plans so far. I am sure they will be tweaked here and there along the way....lord knows we have a loooooonnnnnng way to go. Our ADR window opens on the 25th...even that seems so far away.:sad2: And because we are staying off site I will be making one ADR a day as it opens up. That's the most frustrating part of staying off site. We love the amenities, the ease of getting around with a car, the space of our unit..and the PRICE!! But, I sometimes feel like a second class citizen when these situations arise. Oh well....hopefully since we don't have any big ADR's to make we should be fine!:thumbsup2

I hope everyone has a great Easter. I have to work, of course, and I will be getting split sleep starting tomorrow since the girls are home from school tomorrow. I won't be on here at all I don't think. So...
Happy Easter!!

Also...tomorrow is Ferb's B-Day!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FERB!!!!!!!

I don't know much about the YES program but you made it sound very interesting. I'm sure DS is still to young for anything there but it is certainly something learn more about for the future. I'm glad that you were able to get both girls in, poor Stitch how sweet of her to be all bummed out that Rapunzel and you weren't going to be able to attend. You are right about the quality time with Ferb and I'm sure that will create some special memories for the 3 of them.

Your plans as always sound great.... I can't wait to see your MNSSHP pics. There are two Disney trips that I'm saving for when I know we are doing having children... a Halloween trip and a Christmas trip. Halloween because I know once I start teaching I won't be able to take that time off, and Christmas because of prices and the crowds. Alas, its something I have always wanted to do.

Anyway I have an idea for your newfound two hours of freedom, how about treating yourself to some spa services??? Come on, you know you deserve it for planning such a great trip and its a nice way to treat yourself. ;)

I think it's cool that you can come over to the US just to grocery shop lol! And yes cherry coke zero is amazing!!! I can only find it by this deli near my job so it a monthly treat for me but yes YUM!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FERB!!!!!

Happy Birthday Ferb!!!

You have some busy days planned. I think I could handle those crowds after being at Mk last week. I don't know the exact crowdf level, but it was at least a 9. A 4 would be glorious! :cutie:

You had me at pineapple juice. I need to try the Welsh Dragon! I'm going to take a picture with it specifically for you LOL.

I love Spectro! That parade was always my favorite and I love the music. That being said, I haven't seen MSEP in years and will make a point of seeing it this trip.

Happy Easter and happy birthday to Ferb!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FERB!!!!!

I'm not going to lie, I thought about going to a park all by myself just to do whatever I wanted to. If there was more time, I think I would!:thumbsup2 As it is, I will have just enough time to get our packing done. A woman's work is never done.

Happy Birthday Ferb!!!

I know, I really like the music to Spectro better. The girls enjoyed the MSEP though, so I know they will be happy either way. And that Welsh Dragon is taunting me....I can't wait for Oct!!

Happy Birthday Ferb!!!!:wizard: it was my birthday too :yay:

Noelle

Happy Birthday, Noelle!! I hope you had a great day!

I went and got Ferb some pizza and wings for his birthday dinner. I had to go over the river again to get them because they just can't get them right here in Canada. And then we grabbed him an ice cream cake, too. He was a very happy Ferb!:cloud9:

I don't know how many of you caught this in time, but there was a 25% off sale at the Disney stores and on disneystore.com to celebrate their 25th anniversary. We managed to grab some things on line with some paypal money that Ferb had acquired doing some surveys and then I ended up driving up to the nearest one about 45 minutes away to do a little more shopping just to have a quick Disney fix alone with Stitch while Rapunzel was having a play date. Our stuff got delivered and the one shirt Stitch and I got at the store was for Ferb and we gave it to him on his Birthday Friday.
Here are the goodies we got!

We also got Ferb a couple of tshirts from JcPenney but I can't seem to copy those pics...one is a Transformers t-shirt and the other is Perry the Platypus eating and going..."nom nom nom". Cute!

We really don't need any more shirts now....we have too many...but I am sure when they have another good sale we will probably consider it since they are always coming out with new styles to tempt us!! It was a great deal this time because of the 25% off and with Ferb's paypal money we only had to pay for the shirt bought at the store! SCORE!!!:thumbsup2

Off Disney for now...
We had a great weekend. Friday was Ferb's birthday and the girls were off school so when I got up we went over to Niagara Falls, NY to get him some pizza and wings and an ice cream cake....he was very happy! Then Sat was a rest day...I had to work my regular shifts this weekend so no rest that way, but I needed my sleep to handle the busy holiday weekend. Then Sun after I got home from work the girls searched for their eggs and baskets. I slept til around 4 and then got up and made dinner...we had ham and mashed potatoes and the regular stuff.. then had a nap and went to work. Then Mon we did the same thing...I got up at 2:30 and we went to my parents to celebrate with them. (my Mom had to work on Easter as well) We ate dinner and visited then when I got home I laid down for a nap and headed back into work last night. I am tired today, gonna go have a sleep for a few hours. At least it's my weekend now and I can rest up a bit. Working midnights really messes you up.:upsidedow

Trying to think of a fun way to fill the waiting time on this PTR. I've never started one this far in advance. Any suggestions?
Hope everyone had a good holiday weekend!

I love the Pirates shirt! I need to find Kris a shirt to wear to MNSSHP. Great buys! :)

Well, you're off to a good start posting your shopping finds. LOL. That's what I do to fill up the gap between my ADR date & travel time. I have other trips to look forward to as well so I'll post some mini-TRs in there. Do you have any day trips or anything coming up? You can always post about that!

Glad you had a great weekend!

Great tees!

I didn't take advantage of the Disney Store sale. We all have some Disney tees and usually wear them every day of our trips. But having lost 28 lbs (and with hopes to lose at least 20 more!), my tees are getting too big. Also, since our upcoming trip is just me and DH, I told him we could leave our Disney tees at home and wear "normal" clothes on this trip, LOL! But then I see all these cute tees (like your Jack and Sally one) and I think I need to go shopping!

I do, actually have a week in August that we are going to be spending with my DBro and fam and our parents in the mountains. Plus, life is always giving us something to talk about. I have read along with other PTR's and gotten some ideas that I have "stolen" in the past. I'm sure we will have something to talk about. Especially with our ADR time coming later this month!:thumbsup2

That's awesome that they are getting to be too big! :cheer2: Feels good to say that doesn't it?
When Ferb and I went alone last year he wore all his Disney T's! Plus we wore matching ones on the ship on Pirate night that we made. We can't help ourselves when we are at Disney!!:lmao:

I agree! If not at Disney, where else am I going to wear my Mickey/Tink/Snow White tees? :thumbsup2

I haven't been posting this past week because the boards have been so WACKED that I am afraid that my post will end up on someone else's thread. But really there isn't that much to post about.....

I have been busy trying to find a new travel agency to work with for my disney travel agent work. The one I am with is going through some very distracting growing pains and their computer system is being affected. Very frustrating and they aren't dedicated to disney travel either and that can be frustrating as well. No luck so far...met a wonderful person and that may lead somewhere down the line, but she isn't there yet. Oh well, what is meant to happen will and I just need to stay positive and focused...two things that I sometimes falter on.

Hope everyone had a good spring break...Stitch and Rapunzel only had a four day weekend so not to disrupting. There are a few long weekends before the end of the school year and Ferb and I have a week of vacation in June that we will be spending cleaning up outside and maybe some projects inside depending on the weather. But that's all we have coming in the short term. I DO have an extra long weekend coming this week which is good....I think Ferb and I will go out to lunch for some Sushi...and then I get to sleep all night for 3 whole nights!:cloud9:

Ferb and I had a weird day yesterday. Mostly because I only slept for 2 1/2 hours. :rolleyes1 We did manage to get out for lunch which was great! But then because I was soooo out of it, the rest of the day was a waste! I was on the couch for most of it, hovering between wakeful and half asleep. Not too much got accomplished yesterday that's for sure.

On the trip planning front, I became aware of a change to the Oct calendar. This had only been posted to the TA calendar so far. They messed with the EMH days and now our last day at the parks, which is our only full day at MK, is now an evening EMH! I am sooooo upset! It's the only day that we get to see MSEP and Wishes because the other dates are either taken up with MNSSHP or other parks for us. And of course since we are staying off site we get to deal with extra crowds without the benefit of staying for EMH. It's a planning dilemma. Do you give up the parade and Wishes for less crowds? I think I need to have a chat with Ferb on this. It may be worth dealing with the crowds to get these things.

Also, before the calendar change was brought to my attention, I spoke with Ferb about changes to two of our other days. We ended up switching around our AK and DHS days. The reasoning behind the original pick of DHS day was to get to see Fantasmic. But since it's being shown every night again we can do it another day and get a better crowd level day according to Touring Plans. So we switched those days.
This is our new schedule...
10/22 Arrival
10/23 MK
10/24 DHS
10/25 AK
10/26 MNSSHP
10/27 Rest
10/28 Epcot
10/29 MK (this is our messed up EMH date)
10/30 YES at AK and rest at WBC then fly home at 6:40

We have also nailed down our ADR plans.
10/22 no ADR needed EOS at DTD
10/23 lunch at The Plaza
10/24 dinner 50's PTC
10/25 dinner Boma
10/26 no ADR needed counter service during MNSSHP
10/27 dinner Raglan Rd
10/28 eat around the world at F&W, dinner counter service
10/29 hopefully ADR at BOG when they open that up for ressies :worship:
10/30 no ADR's today....going home :sad2:

BUT!!! And there is ALWAYS a but when it comes to Disney planning...
We just found out that we are going to get our bonus at work this year. It's not a lot but between the two of us we are getting enough to cover the cost of our share of a house rental in the Adirondack's this summer with my DBro and DMom and DDad. There will be some left over as well....

We just got done saying that we aren't going to do Spirit of Aloha because we can't justify the price. We are doing MNSSHP and that's expensive enough, and adding in the cost of SoA..that's just out of our budget. Now, I wonder what Ferb will say when I ask him what he wants to do with the extra money from our bonus.....:rolleyes1:lmao: If we change anything for this it will be Raglan Rd on arrival night and Spirit of Aloha on the 28th (Sat) so we can have a restful day at WBC and then a nice dinner show to round out the day. We'll just have to see.

Also, I have been thinking about what we are going to do for MNSSHP and costumes. I have been going back and forth and basically bugging the girls and Ferb to no end on this. I don't know why I can't wait to make this decision, but I feel like I need to get this squared away to concentrate on other things.
I got a great idea the other day...why don't we all get Pirate's League makeovers? Ferb can be a pirate, Stitch can get the empress package and Rapunzel and I get the mermaid package since they have it permanently now.
Here are the costumes we have picked out so far:

Stitch:

Rapunzel:

Me:

Of course we need something for Ferb, but we can let him decide what he wants for his pirate look, not sure if he wants to go with a Jack Sparrow look or just a general pirate look.

That's all for Disney updates. Yesterday it was SSSSOOOOOO hot here!!!:furious:;) The weather has been so freaky this year! But, when I walked outside I said..."OMG!!! This makes we want to go to Disney...RIGHT NOW!!!" Ferb agreed, and we had a sad moment together....:worried::lmao:

I would agree that it's worth dealing with the crowds to see MSEP and Wishes! We did it on our December trip, and although it was packed, we were happy we made the decision to brave the crowds to see the parade and Wishes since there were so few nights it was available for us to see.

The costumes ideas look great!!!
