Boo to you & AKV too!! **11/18**52 days to go, freaking out, a bag & next year!**

I was going to post this earlier but I just wasn't feeling it! Today was kinda an icky, cloudy, hot and sticky day here. We just sat inside and enjoyed having AC and not much else. I had not motivation to do anything!!!

But now I'm a lot more excited and happy so I'm going to post!

we're going to WDW in 150 days!!


I'd be a more excited if I could say we're going tomorrow but oh well! we're going and that's what matters!!

I'm also very, very excited about something else! Good thing I waited to post this because I just found out about it!

I got an email a little bit ago from DVC inviting us to a DVC event at a hotel on Long Island!! I'm soooo excited about this!!

We're going 8/29!! The invite says there's a dance party with Mickey and Minnie (OMG! The kids freaked with excitement when they heard that!), special event offers, refreshments and other suprises! The confirmation email I got once I registered also said that there's a kids club for the bigger kids to play at while Mom and Dad try not to add on 500 points to our contract the kiddos really like that too!

Truthfully, I'm hoping for a good add on offer and incentive at the event! DH and talked last week about adding on 100 points and he was actually all for it! We were planning on looking into resale but if the offer at the event is good enough I'm hoping DH will go for it! I told him last week that if we added on that could be my christmas and birthday presents for the next several years! Really, no gift could be better then Disney ​

Hi Everyone!!

I had fully intended to post another update or something this weekend but it's been a busy few days!

DD's been following in her daddy's footsteps and taking sailing lessons thins summer. They ended Friday!

Thursday was game day at the yacht club. She had a blast and got covered head to toe it shaving cream! I wish I had taken my camera but I forgot!

Friday was awards and a membership meeting!

I'm super duper proud to say that DD won an award!! In her first year of sailing as on of the youngest kids in the program! The award usually go to the older, more experienced kids! But DD won the award for most helpful!! She really is sooo helpful, even at home! Most of the kids at the yacht club complain about taking down the boats and rigging them. DD runs from boat to boat helping lift the boat and getting everything set! We were sooo excited for her and she was super happy and smiling from ear to ear!!! Guess what? I didn't take my camera to that either! But one of the mom's is the official photographer so I'm hoping to get the photo from her!

Friday night was a grownups only cocktail party and chinese auction at the yacht club! DH and I had a blast and walked away with a giant bucket full of fishing supplies and a beautiful print of a local lighthouse!! Yippeee!!

Yesterday I took the kiddos to a local fair and had a great time although it was a tad warm I HATE hot weather!!!

While we were at the fair and having fun at home DH was sailing in a race around Shelter Island, NY! He came in 2nd!!!! He was very happy!! Yesterday was very light wind and he doesn't normally do good in light wind! I did have my camera for that!!! But I haven't taken the pics off yet! I'll post a few when I do!!

Anyway, I truly, really, 100% hopeful and determined to come back later today with a new update!! I'm also very, very hopeful that it will have a great, shocking and completely exciting announcement in it!! So stay tuned!!!! ​

My DS16 will be driving by himself in November and as much as I am nervous about this, I am excited that it will be one less kid to drive around. My present car has a ton of miles on it, so he will be using that. I will be getting the new car, and sooner than expected, because the end of the year incentives are just too good to pass up.

I would compare the prices carefully (between DVC and resale). We got a notice for an add on and the incentive was a 3 day cruise for 4 people, but when I did the math resale was still cheaper.

Yes, they are opening a Door Way to Dreams in western LI! I thought it was supposed to open Aug 1st but the email said something about a sneak peak of it and that it's opening "this fall" !!

I've looked at the prices and totally agree that resale add-on is probably going to work out to be the most cost effective way by far! Especially because DH wan't nothing to do with a cruise!

Ok my faithful, wonderful Diser friends it's time for the suprise update!!

First, I must apologize for not posting this last night I had intended on doing once the kiddos were asleep BUT Ryan, for reasons a 2 year old mind could only understand, decided sleep was not necessary last night and would not go to sleep! He finally feel asleep in bed with me around 11:30 and I slept in my clothes!

Anyway, I'm now up and pretty well rested and have showered the "I slept in my clothes" ick away and am ready to let you in on the suprise!!!



We're going to Disney World in 73 days!!!

Yes, you read that right!! 73 not so long days!!

I got the ache last week!! You all know the ache I'm talking about! The "I wanna go to Disney World, NOW!" ache! But my ache was really center around "I wanna go to Disney World for Halloween!"

All the talking about MNSSHP on other PTR's (MEK ) got me thinking about it! When we went to MNSSSP in 06 it was literally the best time ever!!! I love Halloween! It's my favorite holiday! What better way to combine 2 of my favorite things, right?!

When I approached DH about it Thursday morning he acted like I was completely insane!! But, after some thinking on his part and me running some of that lovely, famous disney fuzzy math he went for it! It also worked out in my favor that we could buy our AP's in Oct and that's $$ off January. It's still money spent but it's more spread out!

I also think part of his decision was based in the fact that he's been super, crazy busy with work and could use a vacation!

I did have to agree to no point add-on at this point But, I can live with that. We talked about kinda feeling out the points we have now before making any decision about adding on! I think DH sees us coming out on top because an add-on would have cost a lot more then this trip!

So the details! I know your dying for the details!

October 29th - Nov 2nd, 4 nights/5 days, 1 bedroom villa at Saratoga Springs!!! MNSSHP on Halloween!!

OMG! I can't tell you how excited I am! DH gave me the go ahead Saturday night and sitting here waiting for DVC member services to open at 9 am yesterday I got so excited I actually gave myself heartburn! NO JOKE!!!

I still can't believe it!!! Like I said, I love Halloween and we had the best time ever at MNSSHP in 06!!

My head is spinning with all the stuff I have to do now!!

I did make my adr's online yesterday!! The online system, IMHO, is great!! So easy and very nicely done! I'll be back later to post that update, hopefully

I don't, as of this moment, have plane tickets. Hopefully that will be taken care of later today!

The kiddos don't know yet! We're going to tell them after my niece, the 2nd kiddo in the list of crazies, goes home! She comes to stay here a lot in the summer and has been here since I brought her back from my parents in PA last week. She starts school in CT soon so I'm sure my sister needs her home soon!
