WOW. Not even remotely on scale with MNSSHP.
No music, no special lighting, just extreme blah that I've seen so far watching multiple lives. Hopefully something gets better throughout the evening.
SO glad I didn't spend the money.
Try not to compare it to MNSSHP because it's an after hours party.
I do agree though, so far it seems blah. Crowds seem low, so lack of energy and excitement maybe?
I imagine it's good if you're doing it to go on rides.

If crowds truly are low, then it’ll work for us b/c that’s really the main thing we are looking for this time.

I'm just watching the Resort tv live stream. So far, they haven't done any rides, so I don't really know for sure what ride times are like.

Huh? There's special lighting all over the place....even the unlive streetsmophere is in front of Haunted Mansion!

And the first cavalcade playing Boo To You was adorable.

Ok I was wondering!

True, but man there appears to be so little theming to justify that price tag.

I'm sure there is some. But NOTHING like with MNSSHP. And I know they are 2 diff events but for the price, this one is almost DOUBLE of MNSSHP, there is SO MUCH LESS in terms of theming that I've seen so far.

I mean, Splash is 10 minute and Mine Train is already down to 30 minutes right after start. Most rides are 5-15 minutes in app, which is probably faster in real-time.

That's good.

I was surprised they didn't have all the scarecrow and pumpkin displays out like they normally do when you first enter the MK.

It isn't a MNSSHP.

It wasn't marketed as a MNSSHP.

It wasn't promised to be a MNSSHP.

If you somehow jumped to the assumption that it should BE a MNSSHP (based on price or any other factor) then it was a misstep on YOUR part, not on Disney's.

I'm no Disney apologist by ANY stretch, but why on earth were you expecting a MNSSHP when this event has never been billed as such?

Sometimes people like to declare they are so glad they didn't spend the money on **fill in the blank** and it lowkey makes those that did feel like a chump.

I say--if you bought tickets, make the best of it! Have fun! No matter what the event is there will be people who are negative about it and just as many will love it and have the time of their lives.

The only assumption I am making is that, given the price AND the description given by Disney, there should have been more theming and at least similarity to MNSSHP as a HALLOWEEN themed event (I mean, the name IS Boo Bash, afterall). And that given that price, there is far less of that than with the other Halloween event that lasted longer, costed less, and offered more.

No one said it was? Have you ever went to a Chevy dealer and then to a Ford dealer and compared the two cars? They're both cars but they have different prices and different features. People DO compare things, you know? Everyone knows an afterhours event is not the same as MNSSHP but given the way Disney billed it, we DO have some reasonable expectation of similarities IN the two events (such as the trick or treating, the choice of music, etc). So yes, my expectations are completely reasonable.

I completely disagree. I’m not there, but watching the ResortTV1 livestream and was pleasantly surprised! Turned it on just in time to hear the Boo to You music which made me SO happy to hear. Lighting looked great, I heard background music, trick or treat stations looked good, and can’t beat the low wait times. It actually made me excited about this trip for the first time! It’s been mostly stress from cancelling in March 2020, through making the decision to go ahead with our trip in less than 2 weeks.

Right? And then there are those who come on and try to belittle the opinions of others who happen to reflect negatively about an event as if to make it seem like they aren't allowed to have opinions that are different or go against the grain.

I say if you didn't buy tickets, be glad you didn't! You will still have fun on your trip.
