"Bonus" Points Question?

My sister in law was at WDW the past week and decided to take the DVC tour so she could see our new home. She came home and told us that we were going to get points since she said we refered her. I was not aware of this, is it true, or we would get the points if she were to buy. Anyone else ever hear of this?

The last I heard they were giving 200 Disney dollars or $200.00 toward your dues for your first referral. They also had a special where they were giving away a Disney DVC lithograph.

It depends on what state you are in...some allow it, others do not. If you are in a state that allows it, DVC does give referral "bonuses".

You only get the bonus if the person you referred purchases. They do have to give your name the very first time that they have any contact with DVC. So, if your SIL eventually purchases, you will get the bonus (if NJ permits).

Thanks for the info, that is kinda what I figured. She wants to buy but may wait until the next price increase to make her decision.
