Cast of characters: Bonnie (me!) 42 and resident vacation planner!
DH Shane 45 driver and happy doing anything!
DD Shayna 17 Disney nut and wishes she was American instead of Canadian!
DS Ben 14 wise guy who rolls with just about everything!
DS Jarrett 12 used to be the easy one to travel with but now has very little patience with crowds and anything that doesnt include swimming!
Day 3: March 11
After a short 4 hour drive, we arrive at the Comfort Suites Maingate East. Weve stayed here before, and enjoy the amenities that surround it. We enjoyed our lunch at Ponderosa (we dont have Ponderosa at home), hit the pool for a bit, and then headed for DTD. Its a tradition to go there when we arrive. Like many people say, its a great way to start a Disney vacation. Kids love the Virgin Megastore and we were happy to find a good coffee stand. (side note: I will say that I think Canadians seem to appreciate a good, strong cup of coffee more than most Americans. Up here, we have Tim Hortons, which is a coffee/donut shop and there is one at almost every major intersection. Dunkin Donuts comes close, but there arent that many around. We arent drinkers, but we sure do appreciate a good cup of java!)
Anyway, had a great day toured around Old Town for a bit and then settled in for the night.
(BTW, as a write this, Im wishing I could be as creative and funny as Delswife or GrowinupDisney, but its not happenin! lol)
