Bonnet Creek?

Is there shuttle service from here to the parks? Or do you have to have your own car? Thanks so much,

Cathy

I seem to remember seeing a shuttle bus (NOT WDW transportation--a separate company) in front of the main building. We always drive, so I didn't pay much attention:confused3

I would go back to BC in a heartbeat! Absolutely gorgeous. We stayed there in Dec 07, and I'm doing my best to get us back there for Feb 09.

I had to switch my ressies from Disney properties to non-Disney to save some cash, and now I will never stay Disney again!

Very luxurious, GREAT location, you won't want to leave!

There is a shuttle. I saw a post one time that showed the schedule. It offered about 4 or 5 morning departures, and then about 4 or 5 evening departures from each park. EX: Magic Kingdom departures at 8, 9, 10 and 11 and return times at 5, 6, 7, and 8, etc. Not such a good schedule if you plan on taking an afternoon break, but better than nothing. It might be more frequent during the busy season, I don't know. When we return in early July, I will try to write a review and include this info.

I've learned that shuttles at Disney are highly overrated. Car rentals are super cheap in Orlando, and it is very easy to get around...and you have so much more FREEDOM!

We rented a fullsize for 8 days in Dec 07 for under $100. It just takes a little effort to research the codes and check your prices, but well worth it!

You can get from park to park faster in your own car than with the buses!

Absolutely true. We used to think the "free" buses were saving us but the amount of time wasted and frustration of overloaded buses/trams/boats/monorails convinced us many years ago that we were getting what we paid out of it - ZERO. In fact one of the reasons we prefer Universal is their decision to build parking garages so it's an easy walk to all the parks and City Walk rather than the planned delays of the acres of surface parking at Disney. Much better design Avoid the Disney Transportation whenever you can.

Thank you for the info. We will have a car, but we will have a couple of teenagers who can go off by themselves, and they will need transportation. That is one thing we really like about Disney transportation, as we have different ages who can do different things.

Teenagers can probably make do with the scheduled shuttle service, combined with the infrequent cab ride. From that location, cabs to most places on property are going to be $15 or so including tip. AK might be a bit more, but still probably under $20. As I may have written above, those staying at OKW and SSR often drive *past* Bonnet Creek's entrance to get to/from some of the parks, so that helps keep the cab rides inexpesnive.

* Oh good! This is a much better (more frequent) schedule than I seen posted previously. We could actually make do with this most days. Maybe we'll save our $11 (or is it $12) parking fee a few days. Thanks for posting!:thumbsup2

Thank you! For teenagers, very doable, and they can live with going to 2 different parks. . .if we get to go it is a "bonus" trip, so I don't think they will complain! ;)

Does anyone know if there is an in-room safe and if so, can it hold a laptop?
