Hi everyone,

I am planning my first trip to Disney and would really like to stay at Bonnet Creek. We are going 4/3-4/10, but dates are fairly flexible. Could anyone tell me the best way to secure a unit here, the rates on hotels.com and expedia are outrageous. Thanks.

If your dates are indeed flexible, you should plan to check in on/after April 15. The dates you specified are in prime season and if you wait you'll be in value season. This is 1/2 the point value for 1BR or 2BR and significantly less for a 3BR or 4BR. 1/2 the points = 1/2 the price. If you want to save even more wait until 60 days out and a VIP platinum can reserve for 1/2 the point value. An example would be a 1BR during value season would cost about $550 now, but could be had for $225 if you wait. These rates are based on $6.5/thousand points, some owners rent for more some for less.

You'll find a lot of people renting bonnet creek on ebay, TUG, and redweek.

I think that's the week before Easter, so it might be a little more expensive. Someone on another Bonnet Creek thread got a great rate at bidshares.com, but I'm not familar with that site.
