Hi everyone, first time poster here (I think :) ). I am planning a trip for my family which includes my 5 and 8 year old daughters. I am looking at renting offsite at Bonnet Creek, Windsor Hills, or Regal Palms. Each one seems to offer something a little different.

I have found places at each resort, all in the same price range. Can someone help me out on pros/cons or Regal Palms and Windsor Hills? One of my biggest concerns is with the travel time from Regal Palms to the parks. Ideally we would like to have split our day with a little rest time for our kids. I dont know if that is possible with Regal Palms and Windsor Hills given the distance from the parks.

We have stayed at Windsor Hills twice when the kids were 5 and 7. We booked a condo in the building right next to the clubhouse/pool. We loved it and would return. (I can't comment as have not stayed at the others). We really enjoyed the pool area, the kids used the playground a few times. It's only about a 10 minute drive if I remember. We would leave the parks each day after the afternoon parade, have a swim and go out for dinner. We only returned if going for the fireworks. Just too long of a day for the kids (and me too!!)

We are huge Windsor Hill fans! Its really close to the parks, especially Animal Kingdom and its an easy drive back and forth. We always travel with children and take mid day breaks to swim or nap and it's not a big deal coming and going from WDW.

I don't know where a Regal palms is but Windsor Hills is very close. It's not much farther than Bonnet Creek.

Loved Windsor hills with being very close to the parks and a fab pool. This time we are staying in a very new development called Water song, which is 10 minutes or so south of WIndsor Hills. We are staying in a 3 bed 3 bath one level new home with full size pool/spa for 7 nights for $850 including taxes, and pool heat. I tried to get something similar at Windsor Hills but the prices were $400 plus more.

Bonnet Creek and Windsor Hills are both very nice but slightly different. Bonnet Creek is closer to WDW. Every unit at Bonnet Creek is decorated the same (like a hotel). The only difference is if you have booked deluxe or presidential. Windsor Hills condos are owned individually so while the layout is the same, each condo can be decorated differently and stocked differently. There is a big main pool at Windsor Hills with a slide. Bonnet Creek has many different pools, 2 lazy rivers, volleyball courts, mini golf, etc. If the price is the same, I like Bonnet Creek better.

Thanks everyone for the replies! The only thing that has me going back to Bonnet Creek is the lazy river. Otherwise Id go for Windsor.

From what I've read, Regal Palms is a little further out, but still not bad of a drive to the Disney parks. We stayed at Windsor Hills and loved it. It is an easy drive to all the Disney parks and is very close, especially to the AK/AKL resort area. Bonnet Creek is very close, next to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. There are differences between the two, Bonnet Creek is a timeshare resort and Windsor Hills is a vacation home community (each condo/house is privately owned). Good luck with whatever you choose :thumbsup2

Windsor Hills is super convenient to the parks---in some ways more convenient than many Disney resorts. I could get from the TTC parking lot to the front door of my WH townhome in less time than it takes to play the Wishes CD (so about 12 minutes).

That's what I hoped to hear :) My wife was a little worried about the time from the park to the condo. I am also happy to find out that you can park at the ticket center and ride the monorail to MK and Epcot. My kids are excited about that part!

For what it's worth, I would just drive to/from Epcot. Save the monorail for MK.

We have stayed at all three. For location and resort amenities, I prefer Bonnet Creek. It is "onsite" for all intents and purposes...just not Disney owned. The units are large and modern and the facilities are terrific for families with kids.

Windsor Hills is nice and a very easy drive....particularly from Animal Kingdom. The pools and such are nothing on the same level of Bonnet Creek.

Regal Palms has a very nice pool area as well, but it is much further out than the other two resorts. If you are going at a slow time of year, it would be nice. But during a busy time it will take you longer to get to the parks.

My first choice would be Bonnet Creek if you can find a good deal.

Have a great trip wherever you stay!

Regal Palms if the furthest out of the 3, however, there are some short cuts you can take. Its easy access to the I4 and 192

I have stayed at both Bonnet Creek and Windsor Hills. Windsor Hills was nice, but my family prefers Bonnet Creek. It is so close to all the parks, and the pools/lazy rivers can't be beat. We also love having restaurants to choose from at Bonnet Creek.

We've stayed at WH twice and love it! As other folks mentioned it's a very short and easy drive to the parks: TTC is less than 15 min; Epcot about 10 and AK, DHS less than 10.

The other nice thing about WH is that it's quiet/low key and the low rise-villa style buildings makes it easy to get to/from the pool, rec areas, your car etc.

We haven't stayed at WBC or Regal Palms but are considering WBC for our next trip.
