We are going to BC in March. We are not planning on cooking a whole lot there but... what should we bring that is not included? (i.e.) kitchen towels, dishwasher detergent, coffee etc.?? Thanks ;)

You won't need to bring much. We just bring coffee and filters, dryer sheets, and clothes detergent (they do provide starter packs of this). Pool towels are also provided.

Enjoy

also like to bring ziplock baggies (or whatever you use) to store left overs.

some bathoil or bubble bath for the tub - remember to use about 1/4 less than you would normally

Thanks alot! Very helpful- I forgot about the bubble bath! I can't wait to go :)

When we were there in December, guests just went to the front desk to get additional items (toilet paper, washing powder, etc.) as they needed it. I really liked that, because I usually have to go buy all of that stuff when I've stayed elsewhere.

timeshare you shouldn't need to pack that stuff.

homes and condo - just depends.

Don't be surprised if you have to start paying for the extras. Almost all timeshares charge for all requests above the complimentary starter packs (DVC and Marriot come to mind). It's rumored that Wyndham will be doing the same real soon. It makes sense too.

dvc nor marriott (to my knowledge) do NOT charge for extra basic - toilet paper, paper towels, etc

they do charge for extra towels/sheets. but only a few members want these things. so if you want extra towels you pay for it.

Sorry should have been more specific. Clothes detergent and the starter packs of coffee, etc. The basics like paper towels, garbage bags, tp are not charged for. I think the real target is no more unlimited clothes detergent.

They are. I asked for more dish washer detergent and they did give it to me for free but stated that they only provide starters typically.

That said, they did give us at least enough soap for 4 loads, coffee for 3 days, filters for all 10 days we were there, laundry soap for 2-3 loads etc.

I would buy baggies, an extra roll of paper towels, extra laundry soap and some extra coffee. That is about it. Everything else was stocked very well.
