Bonnet Creek vs. Star Island for kids activities

We're planning on taking our kids to Disney for the first time in February. DS will be 2yrs on the 25th and DD will be 14yrs on the 26th. I was wondering which resort had better kids activities BC or Star Island? We'll be arriving on a Saturday and planning on going to Disney Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. The other days we'd like to do resort activities, explore a little bit of Orlando and relax a little.
