Bonnet Creek Shuttle

Hi all, new here. I was thinking originally that travelling with a 3 year old next year would be easiest to get to and from the Disney parks via Disney resorts. However, I just stumbled upon the many threads about Bonnet Creek. What can you tell me about the shuttle they have to the parks?

When we were there in July, my son had his hand stamped for the return trip. They also told him to hold onto the ticket. The shuttle times were terrible so we rented a car instead. If you plan on returning mid day or staying past 8 PM, you need to rent a car or take a taxi.
