In the WBC one bedroom suite, is the bedroom a separate room with a door that closes from the kitchen and living area, or is it set up like a studio where it's all one open space?

We can do a deluxe 1 bedroom at Bonnet Creek for about the same price as a 3 bedroom townhouse at WH. I think it's $100 more for the week for the townhome. Our toddler sleeps with us, so we don't need the extra bedrooms, but I want to make sure we are getting a good amount of living space and decent size kitchen as we will cook in all week. The amenities at WBC seem better, so that's why we were thinking of going with that if the 1 bedroom feels spacious.

How big is the bedroom? Could you fit an air mattress on the floor? I ask because I'm debating on getting a one bedroom or 2 bedroom. My kids are 4 & 6 and are likely to end up in our room every night! We'd like to have the living room area to unwind and prepare for the next day while they are asleep so the sleeper sofa isn't ideal. I thought I could put an air mattress on the floor in our room and save us a little money from the 2 BDRM. Thoughts?

You might be able to fit a a single air mattress but not a double in the bedroom. There is just enough room for walking space around the bed.

Space would be limited in the bedroom with air mattresses. The balcony is a great place to unwind and the sleeper sofa will allow enough room to get by. You may be able to put 2 twin air mattresses length-wise on the one side of the bed. Its just not easy to measure without having the exact room dimensions. Plus the dimensions can vary slightly because the bed itself may not be in the exact same spot in each unit.

Actually I would move the table and 6 chairs and put the mattress over in that area of the condo.

Or put the mattress in with the bathtub area. You would have to go around the kitchen area to use the potty but I think it would fit between the sink & door to toilet area

It will be tight in the bedroom with an air mattress, unless you put it in the bathroom, but that's not ideal. We have a 2yo and 4yo and get a1 bedroom at WBC. Usually I sleep in the king bed with the kids and dh will take the pullout in the living room, occasionally we switch out and he sleeps with the kids and I'll take the pullout. Once they go to sleep dh and I are able to watch TV, have cocktails and if we get lucky with our room location - sit out in the balcony to see fireworks.

it really depends on your kids. A 2bedroom would be a waste for us because my kids would not sleep in a separate room in a strange place. eventually they would wake up and come over to our bed so a 1 bedroom works best for us. if your kids will use the other room than I would definitely get the 2 bedroom.

This is us exactly! I'm worried that a 2 bedroom would be a waste and the extra $300 saved would likely cover our car rental etc. However, I don't want to be so frugal that we we don't all sleep well and end up miserable!

Yep, that's our thought also. My kids would not stay in the 2nd bedroom all by themselves so why waste the extra money. I don't find the pullout to be uncomfortable at all the times Ive slept in it, and I suffer from back pain so I cant sleep just anywhere.

Yes, 1 bedroom is legit 1 bedroom apartment. Have stayed in 1 and 2 bedroom at WBC. Love them both.

Look at it this way ............

- You spend an extra $300 booking a 2 bedroom and they still want to crawl in with you or sleep close by.
- You save an extra $300 booking a 1 bedroom, putting them in sofabed and they still want to crawl in with you or sleep nearby.

If the end result is the same, save the money and figure out your options with the 1 bedroom.

- Kids sleep on sofabed, which is practically visible from master bed if you leave door open. (see above)
- When kids were little we would start them in bed, then when we were ready we would move them.
- Take two small air mattresses to put on either side of bed.
- Take two small air mattresses to put end to end along tub/sink (with door closed to toilet) and walk around if need be during the night.
- Using air mattress will make them more "moldable" to space.
- Strange but not unheard of, use the large garden tub for a bed for the little, using a toddler air mattress.
- Get Toddler Cots, they tend to be more narrow to fit in the spaces and no pump needed.
- And of course parents/kids share beds in best configuration for each.
