I gave up on learning French because i found it too confusing -_-

i'm George. I've only been to France on Day Trips and I don't know where exactly... all i know is i use the channel tunnel by the Dartford Crossing...

Hope you have fun on here :)

Welcome to the Dis!!!!!!
I'm Tyler, and I don't know any French whatsoever. You're gonna love Disney, and from the boards, you'll know lots of tips too.

Thanks everyone for your answers !!

I need your help one more time!!!
We are gonna have a room in All Stars movie and we want to have that "magic your way" thing with Dining plan. But my question is: Is the "magic your way and Dining plan" starting after the first night, or during the day we are going to arrive?

I don't know if I'm really comprehensible! But, if 'I'm not, maybe you could just explain me when start the magic your way ticket and dining plan, and how it works! :confused3

Hope I'm undestandable!! :rotfl:

Well, i have never done the magic your way, but i have done the dining plan. The dining plan is Great. I know that certain places count as "credits." I know you get a snack in the day you get deserts and appatizers - (sp) that is pretty much all i know i think you can find more stuff out on this link.

Here goes. I'll try to do it in french so it's easier for you. Please pardon my awfulness, though. It's been a long day.

Ils commencent le premier jour que vous etes au Walt Disney World. Quand vous arrivez et vous apprenez votre ticket est quand ca commence. Donc, ils commencent le premier jour (mais problement le premier nuit si vous avez un vol a un heure normal!).

In english, just in case my french was so horrible you didn't quite get what I was saying:

The plans begin when you arrive and get your tickets. So, if you show up at your hotel/guest services at a park to get the tickets, as soon as they're in your hands, the plan starts. Therefore it is most likely that it will probably be the first night for you because it is such a long flight from France to Florida. With the Magic Your Way with Dining Plan you get one table service, one counter service, and one snack a day. What we used to do when we got the Dining plan was we'd save the table service from our first day and do a two-credit meal on one day.

If you don't get that, I'm sure there's somebody with better french than me. I don't doubt your english skills because you seem to speak it really well, but I doubt my ability to explain things clearly.

Hope this helped!

OT : I think you explained it perfectly in French.

You now only get appetizers. The plan has changed. Gratuity is also no longer included in the base price. And that went down a dollar, but somebody on the dining boards did the math and the Plan is actually more expensive by about $10/person when you include the fact that you're paying for gratuity and dessert if you get it.

Also- it's d-e-s-s-e-r-t. Because with one 's' it's the sandy desert. Because two 's's are better than one and dessert is better than being stuck in a desert!

Thanks. My brain doesn't want to work today so I was positive that I screwed up and forgot something somewhere in there. I was writing a simple sentence in french today and I had to rewrite the word "quelquefois" like 4 times because I always left out the second 'e'. Brain is ded.

I've been out of it for a bit. I don't like only having French for half the school year.
It's going to take me a while to get all the rules back properly in my head. I had to reread a partners work about 5 times today to figure out what was wrong with.

Lol. This is my last year in French Class (I'm in French V), but I'm going to Paris this summer and I plan to study French in college. I was taught rudimentary french in grades 1-5, and more complex french from grade 6 onward. I always get complements on my accent, though. According to my french teacher I don't sound american! That's like...huge because nearly everyone else in my class does (except for Geraldine, but her mom was born and raised in France and speaks to her in French everyday so she kinda cheats there).

That's awesome!
I've been in French since grade 1. So I've had 9 years in it now. I'm pretty fluent in it and speak it well, unless of course I feel under pressure. I am pretty good with my french grammar and verbs, so the people are me kind of drive me nuts because they still can't master simple verb tenses we've known for years.
I plan to stay in it until I've taken my French proficiency test and am officially bilingual.

I became a member of the French National Honor Society my freshman year, so that's a plus. And I know what you mean about simple verb tenses. The only one I have trouble with is the subjunctive. I hate that tense. I'm fine with the others, though. I'm rusty with the future and the future anterior because we haven't used them in a while.

Futur Simple is my favorite to use.
Nothing is more fun to me than writing things like 'aura'.
xD
Last year my teacher made us learn all of the tenses for Avoir and Etre and then we had a huge test that I aced.
What're we doing this week?
The passé composé. The third one I ever learned to do. In like grade 3 or 4.
-.-

Passe Compose was the second I ever learned, right after present tense, lol. The head of the language dept. at my school wanted to put me in French III my freshman year, meaning I would have finished my high school french career last year, but my dad wouldn't let me do it so I took French II...which was pretty boring.

Hi Everyone! :flower3:

I don't know if I'm at the right place for this message, but I'm a little bit lost! (I hope I'm not doing something wrong for my first post!)

Let's introduce myself!

My name is Julia, I'm 20 years old and I live in south of France (near Avignon). Last summer and for Winter Hollidays I've been working at Disneyland Resot Paris as Character and as Snow White! It has been a great experience!!

Next summer, my boyfriend and I have planned to go to WDW and that's why I'm here!! :)
We are gonna come in middle of August and we would like to stay at the "all star movies" hotel for 7 nights and spend 8 days in Disney Parks!!

I thought it would be nice to meet "regular" and CM's to learn about your experience !!

That's it for this day, I hope my english is not too bad, sorry for that!

A bientot!!

omg you leave in france, im dieing to go there i want to go so bad. you are lucky and did you know johnny depp leaves in france, have you ever seen him?

We learned Imparfait second. Another one of my favorites. xD
I'm looking forward to my senior year in French. My brother had it last year and he read Le Petit Prince and worked with it. I started reading it at home, but never finished it. I know I could go buy it... but I'd rather just wait.
I'm not reading it in English either though xD
Another thing that drives me nuts is when teachers decide to do novel studies with 90 page 'novels'. It's kind of sad.

Your French is reeaaaaaally good! I'm impressed :worship: !! I think I 've understood everything that you said! So thank you so much for your help! But I have one more question (sorry, I'm Blonde!!) Does the Dining Plan work for breakfast? And do you know were I can find the list of the restaurants where we can go with Dining Plan? I've heard that, for some of the restaurants, we must book a long time before, do you have advices for that?!
Thank you again! DIS really help me a lot for my trip, and everyone is so nice here!!

By the way, I think the problem in every langage is tense! I'm always affraid to do mistakes with tense, don't be afraid to correct me!

@ true blonde princess Yes I know that he lives in France, even in South of France and not far from my home! But I've never seen him :sad1:
