I know my father would love a cuban sandwich - how are they here? I don't know if anyone else would really want to go... Can you just get a sandwich to go? Also, are they on the DDP?

They do have a take-out menu. And on www.allearsnet.com it is listed but the menu is from 2008. I have been wanting to try Bongos but have not. I have heard that there is a place by the ClearWater Airport that has a great Cuban Sanwich so next time we fly into Clearwater I am going to find the place.
If you try one at Bongos lets us know. I find that nobody seems to get the whole sandwich right. And the pickles or the bread are the hardest to get "right"'
Bongos is one of my favorite places for lunch. They have great salads and the pork chunks with onions called "mastitis" are just awesome. Follow that up with fresh plantain chips and their special house dip / salsa / relish.
We have eaten there 6-7 times over the last 10 years and it is always great. Never for dinner, we always do lunch.
They have a walk-up window out front where you could order a sandwich to go, or sit at an outdoor table. I love Cuban coffee, steak sandwich and sweet fried plantains.
