I like the look of this menu - so I'm looking for opinions please. IS it any good?

Also, with it not being a 'Disney' restaurant, can I still get PS?

I've never eaten there, but I know that you cannot get a PS. I also was wondering if it was worth a try.

We love Bongo's. The food, service, and music are all outstanding. Being from NE Ohio, we have nothing like that here and that makes it even better for a "vacation" restaurant. Give it a try, you won't be sorry that you did.

We really enjoyed this food but then we like Cuban food and eat it a lot here in FL. Although, I'm not an expert it does taste very authentic. We had a table outside which was nice but a little warm that time of year. It can get noisy inside and with little ones we opted for the heat!

Last summer, my boyfriend took me to Bongo's because he had eaten there before and I hadn't. I also hadn't had cuban food before. It was our first night at WDW, and I SO impressed. I had a roasted chicken dish with rice that had black beans and peas in it. There were also roasted plantain chips included. I loved it all! I love rice dishes, and this has to be one of the best I've ever had ANYWHERE. The plantain chips were excellent, I like bananas, but had never had plantains. They are more bland and have a slightly different texture. And it wasn't just what was served, but the quality, taste, and portions were all excellent. PLUS, the atmosphere is great and there is a lady who will come by and take a couple's picture that you can purchase when you leave and it comes in a Bongo's keychain. Highly recommended.

Bongo's is excellent.

Cuban food is much like american food, very good, mild and very tasty. Bongo's is one of our favorite places to eat (inside or out).

As someone of Cuban heritage I will say the food is just OK. There are better places in the orlando area for cuban food. But the food is not bad and if you have never had authentic cuban food than it will not dissappoint you. I ordered a cuban sandwich at lunch here one time and didn't even get real cuban bread! what's the deal with that, it's not the same without real cuban bread. Those of you from the Miami or Ft Lee NJ areas will agree.
The shop there had Guayabera (4 pocket )shirts as well that were nice. If it's real hot they are nice to wear they keep you cool ..

I've eaten there one time, and while the restaurant is beautiful, I have never heard music sooo loud, this coming from a music lover. We were there pretty late, for dinner standards anyway, maybe this was why....but there was no way to even talk to my hubby who was right next to me. The food was ok, but I too have had authentic Cuban food, and this wasn't it. It's worth a try, everyone has different tastes. :)

..

I couldn't agree more! I grew up eating at some great Cuban places in Tampa. If you have never had authentic Cuban, Bongos is okay. I personally wouln't waste the money, because I have better options available to me. I liken it to most of the places at Epcot. It's fairly "Americanized" to please the masses.

The music is fun though..
