I know it's a bit of a long shot but I'm wondering if the UK pavillion in Epcot does anything special for Bonfire Night? DS is a bit disappointed that we won't be able to go to our usual display for November 5th - I've explained to him that there's fireworks every night at Disney and that we'll definitly see some on the day - but I'm curious about whether or not any special goes on then.

No, there is no recognition of 'bonfire night' or anything special done for it at EPCOT.

Thanks, thought as much. He'll just have to make do with the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom!

And he can see the fireworks at Epcot. And the fireworks from Hollywood Studios

And he can see them some other night from The Lighthouse Pier at The Boardwalk

including a free boat trip.

It depends on the cast members. There's nothing official but they will often do something local but it depends completely on the cast.
We taught guests the story of Guy Fawkes & the poem and when we were there in 2013 the cast had done lots of chalk drawings in the streets outside the shops and the pub of fireworks.

Has your son seen Disney fireworks before? I am guessing not. Trust me. He won't care about Bonfire night ones once he has seen Wishes No bonfire though...... But lots of toffee apples (of a kind) and candy floss.
