Is the bonefish grill any good? How much is the food there? Do you need to make reservations waaaaay in advance? Also, what are other good seafood places that are not an arm and a leg?

This board is for Disney restaurants...you would probably get more responses on the appropriate section...Orlando Attractions I think?

Bonefish is just a chain place. Nothing special I would ever make an extra point of going to, but it is good. Not somewhere you need to make reservations for, but there will be a wait on Friday and Saturday nights.

It's mid-range Red Lobster kind of prices.

It's very good.. definitely a step above Red Lobster in terms of chain restaurants. I have one in my town, so I wouldn't go there on vacation.

Get the "Bang Bang Shrimp" for an appetizer.

It's for sure better than most Disney dining seafood, IMO, although yes, it is a chain, but then most eateries are these days.

The prices are moderate, certainly cheaper than Flying Fish or Bluezoo (though it is NOT not nearly as good as Bluezoo - Probably the best restaurant on Disney property).

It isn't disney so reservations are only made a day or two in advance and that shouldn't be a problem.

Many people view Disney dining as unique when truth be told it's all very generic now (at least compared to the past). I don't mean it's all bad or substandard or any other derogatory terms, just that most signature restaurants offer variations on all of the same food with the supplies coming from the same vendors. Not much different than a "Disney" chain really. So looking elsewhere for better or different food stylings at more competitive prices is certainly not a bad idea.

We love BoneFish. House salad is really good, Bang Bang shrimp big Winner. Their sauces for the seafood are very good too. Way above Red Lobster in Food & Service. And Fultons.

We love the Chilean seabass. ::yes::

Not all are as good as the next, though. I've dined in one in the Ft. Lauderdale and the food along with the service was pretty bad. If it had been the first one I'd been to, I'd not rush back.

Not been to that one as I have one closer to my house, but we go frequently. ::yes::

Far surpasses Red Lobster.

Another place for seafood in the Orlando area? Whew. Tough stuff.

Do you like super casual and fried? If so the best place is Boston Seafood on Aloma (not to be confused with that horrible all you can eat Boston Lobster place).

Joe's Crab Shack can be surprisingly good if you stick with the crab. ::yes::

Avoid the seafood place in Celebration. It's disgusting. :(

I second this! :thumbsup2 Can also recommend the Ceviche Martini (seafood appetizer served in martini glass), if they have it... when we got it it was a seasonal offering, I think.

Everything we have tried here has been very tasty, and always got good service.
