Bona or Sanaa?

We will be staying at AKL Jambo house and I'll be making reservations for dinner there one night before we hit the pool. Both Boma and Sanaa sound delicious. Sanaa sounds a bit yummier to me and my husband, and I like that we can animal watch during dinner. Boma would probably have more options for my 4 year old, and is closer to the pool/more convenient to get to. Which one does everyone prefer?

Boma for me--more variety and I've had better service. But you can't go wrong with either!

We LOVED Boma -- best meal of our trip last fall! Sanaa was more typical Indian food -- not as unique as I had expected. Boma was incredible. We had good service at each.

Having been to neither (but going to Boma on our upcoming trip), I would choose Boma. Sanaa looks delicious but like basic Indian food to me, which I can easily get at home. Either one sounds great, though.

Only if you're eating dinner during daylight. The savanna is not lit.

I like both. We have loved Boma for many years, and we tried Sanaa for the first time last trip. I cannot speak to which is better for a 4 year old. I don't think you'll go wrong with either one, but there are certainly more choices at Boma. Sanaa's menu was recently condensed so be sure to check out the current menu to make sure what you want is still there.

I would love to try Sanaa sometime, but I'm doing Boma again this trip instead. Because at Boma you can try something you're not sure you'll like and if you love it you can get seconds, but if you hate it you can eat something else. Also Zebra domes.

I was happy my wife liked them as much as I do. But I was sad that she didn't like the Jungle Juice. I must have had about 5 glasses last time. :rolleyes1
I don't drink soda and loved all the juice selections at Boma! I've never been to a buffet with more beverage options that I enjoy than Boma.

Maybe we will do Boma this time and Sanaa once my son is a bit older. They both just sound so good. Restaurant decisions are the hardest! I want to try everything.

You know, my only problem with Boma is that when I finally figure out what my favorite thing is, I'm already too full to eat much more of it. :rotfl:

That is always my problem. I don't have enough ADR slots for everything I want to fit in!

I will say, I booked Boma on, I think our 3rd trip, when we stayed at AKL. My husband was skeptical because he hates buffets. One plate in, and he was a convert. He kept saying, "I can't believe how good this is!" Maybe one day he'll learn to trust me!

I prefer Sanaa but I really have no complaints about Boma either. If you do go to Sanaa after dark you can go out on the walkway right outside and they have night vision goggles you can use to view the animals.

We've eaten at both numerous times, and I don't think you'll be disappointed with either. We do prefer Sanna - the atmosphere is very nice, the service is great, and the food is sooooo good. But Boma is definitely very good also. Guess I'm not a whole lot of help....

Boma is our fave and a must-do every trip but we're trying Sanaa next month as well. To answer your question, it seems like (based on your post) Boma would be the better choice for your family.

I love both as well but think Boma would be the preferred first choice for families. So many choices for picky eaters and children. Lots of sampling available but can also fill up on very good quality standards like salmon, beef carvery, chicken and kids standards including mac & cheese & nuggets. A gorgeous fruit buffet as well often including sweet pineapple, strawberries & watermelon. Fresh fruit at WDW is at a premium so its a nice perk. Enjoy!
