Tomorrow at noon, my DH's surprise birthday trip I have planned over a year finally becomes a reality!!

For his 69th birthday in Sept., I gave him a tropical shirt, sunglasses and lotion, with a card that read: 'you are invited to a surprise destination with your sweetie'. Our kids and IL's were sworn to secrecy! Little does DH know, it is cruise to Bermuda and I can't wait to see his face when we arrive at the ship! I know... I am worse than a little kid...LOL!! However, for 42 yrs. he has been the love of my life, and this year I saved and skrimped, as I felt I really wanted to do something xtra special for him.

Sadly, a slight damper for us, one SonIL's set of parents are both gravely ill with cancer and our other SonIL's Mom is in ICU with a virus. We are all very good friends, and needless to say, our hearts are heavy. Both SIL's told us to please continue with our plans, as we never know what tomorrow will bring.

Seems the older you get and witness dear friends becoming ill, some even passing, you really do appreciate each day and praise God for your many blessings and every sunrise and sunset.
