Bomb threat at my school

Just gotta say because I hate it when people generalize like this, that the worst school in the area for stuff like this is a private academy one town over.

We're talking vandalism (of my school's property and their own), bomb threats, gun threats, and what's pretty much a brothel in one of the dorms.

If I've learned one thing about private schools (and yes, I attended them) it's just that the kids that go there have bigger power trips and more money to buy better drugs and do stupider things.

exactly, i go to private highschool. some of the kids here are loaded you should see the hardcore drugs they have. during spring break some freshman girl used her parents credit card and fake id to purchase over 400 dollars worht oh alcohol. crazy stuff.

I'm more afraid because its a private school and I go there to get away from this kind of public school junk. I dont want my school to turn into a public school

hey public schools arnt bad, ive gone to one for like 5 years. trust me private is just as bad, maybe worse

ahh that's scary

My sister's school (private) had a bomb threat last year that was called into the school's sickline by some girl's boyfriend that wanted her to have the day off, but instead of closing the school, they locked the doors and brought the bomb sniffing dogs in to run up and down the aisles of each classroom.

Smart.

Don't worry about it, my school had 3 in one week and they are all false. It's 99% of the time a student from that school who does it. All the times we've had bomb threats it was a student.

In my experince public is worse. Sorry that private school is so bad where you are.

It really is. It may not be bad to someone who has it happen all the time but for someone who lives in a small town and has had nothing like this happen at school before, it scares me to death

but you probably go to a public school with a mass amounts of students...when you go to a small private school its different.

very true. Are you going to school tommorow or has it been canceled. that happened to my friends school last year and they made them go to school. she skipped with the majority of the kids.

You just did a generalizaton too. I go to private school and I'm NOT rich, dont do drugs, and I dont do stupid things. None of my friends do drugs either and my friends (and me) are not stupid. Theres only one kid in my class that is REALLY rich, everyone else is middle class. I go to private school because my public district stinks.

That's what the school the next town over is.

I'm just sayin', this goes either way. It's a little ignorant to start saying that public schools are trashy and private schools are perfect and beacons of goodness.

We have school but I'm skipping. I know that its probably nothing but my parents are overprotective and they'd rather have me home today.

its 7 where I am (my clock is wrong) and my parents woke me up to talk to me and ask me if I wanted to go to school or not

and once i get up I'm up:rolleyes:

i know what you mean. yeah it is probably nothing but better to be safe than sorry :goodvibes I am sure everything will be fine. yeah the private school in my cousins town is scareir than the public school but the private school is better teachers but they have more drug busts and gun threats. The public school is not at higher level of education just cause the teachers hate everyone. So she is homeschooled:)

I think the worst thing i've ever experienced at all my schools has been a fire alarm.

There was once a bomb threat in the building opposite my house whilst I was still inside. Worst part being that they evacuated my whole street, but since I was the only person in the house, I ignored the police knocking on the door. After about an hour since they knocked, my mum came home to find the area roped off, and this time, they called into the house that they were the police and I left...

Bomb threats at my school are a joke. We've had like 6 in the past 2 years. We all know there never will be one. People just wanna get out of class. And the procedure to evacuate us takes sooo long. We all exit the school like a firedrill, walk over to the church across the street..that alone takes 20 minutes. And then all 2500 of us sit in a church for an hour or so until they tell us to go back to class. The police and bomb squad or whatever and their dogs search our school and we end up missing class. Our last one was during finals week 1st semester. That sucked. For our first bomb threat freshman year I was freaked out. Now I'm just like eh, whatever.

wo-o-ow
bomb threat.

we dont even have like.. lock downs here.
We had an actual fire thing once. but that was last year in 7th grade and one of the other 5 science classes had burnt there sugar stuff and it had fulled theroom with smoke and set it off.

it sucked because it was completely raining D:

Funny because all the Year 12's came out clutching their laptops to avoid getting them/their HSC stuff destroyed.

we had a big threat last year.
someone left a note in the boys bathrooms saying he/she would kill alot of people at the school.
i def. did not go to school the next day

we also had a former teacher make threats against the school.

I live in a small, suburban town, and go to a school with about 600 kids. We have about 4 or 5 or so bomb threats every year, almost all of which are written in the boy's bathroom ( three this year were in the boy's bathroom, one was in the girl's bathroom). People just write them for stupid reasons. We just get into a lockdown for 20 minutes or so while the police come to search and then it's business as usual. It's a waste of our town's resources that the police and fire departments have to send people out for these false threats, because they have to come in case this is the one time that it turns out to be real. People are dumb. :sad2:

Ok, so I went back to school today and found out that the note was written in a boys bathroom right by the principal's office. This was the first time in my school's 50 year history that anything like this was wrtten anywhere so it was made into a big deal. Half of the school actally stayed home yesterday because of it, including me. The dean just keeps telling us if we know anything we have to tell because the person who did it will be discovered and if he doesnt turn himself in then the police will find out who did it and they will be arrested.

The trouble is, is no matter what school you go to, public or private, they all have one common factor.... the human factor.

The human, by nature, is an imperfect creature, and being such means that it will make mistakes, not completely think things through, and ignore the full consequences of their actions.

These imperfections though, is what gives us our individuality and makes us what we are. All we can do is try our best to keep things in an order so that all are treated fairly and with respect.

I go to a public high school of 750+ last year 2 bomb threats and 3 gun threats.

We had two LAST WEEK.
On the SAME DAY.
They left a note in the bathroom.
That seems to be the 'hotspot'.
Seriously, the kids don't even get in that much trouble when they find out who did it. They didn't even evacuate us last time. We have them all the time. We've actually only had 3 this year...that's suprising.
