Boma's breakfast--worth trying?

We just switched our reservation to a split stay where we'll be spending the last two days at AKL to try it out. I would never go out of my way to eat at Boma's for breakfast while staying at another resort due to the time it would take to get there. However, now that we'll be there a couple of days I am considering adding a breakfast here for our last day. It would be the prime opportunity to try it while staying at AKL. Here's the glitch--we'll be out of dining credits. I could save my dining credit for this breakfast and instead pay oop for our dinner the night before (cheaper to pay for dinner oop at Sanaa than breakfast at Boma). Is it worth it to add the reservation even if it means the additional expense? Also, not sure if I want to tie up our last morning. We don't leave out until 3:30 so we'll have a full day, though. Would love to hear from others.

For us, part of staying at different resorts is trying their restaurants. Especially when you say you normally wouldn't go out of your way to go, but you'll be there! I think it's a great idea to pay oop for Sanaa and save the credit for Boma. You can share some things there, some of the portions are certainly large enough. We personally liked Boma for dinner better than breakfast, we thought there were more different things to try. But breakfast is good, expecially if you like breakfast. Try to get an early ADR so that you still have time to go and do stuff, eat a lot and you'll be set for the day!

We like boma so much, we're traveling from BC to AKL just to fit breakfast in on our next trip....it's worth it just for the pressed coffee!!! We're going to do a later breakfast though...around 1030 on one of our non-park days. As far as paying OP for saana, I don't think you could go wrong with your strategy.

We are trying Boma's for breakfast on our next trip (have done dinner once before and loved it). We will be coming from BLT and are doing it on a non park day. With that said, I agree with the PP that said the best part about staying in different resorts is to try out the different restaurants at that resort. We are very excited about our ADR there and have read many great reviews on it too. Have a great time.

Boma's breakfast is not my favorite, but it is very good. I like the Tusker House breakfast better, but it is most similar to that. The Jungle Juice is amazing. :thumbsup2 Have a great trip! AKL is my second favorite Disney resort. :)

My family really likes Boma's breakfast. There are a lot of familiar items (e.g., eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, etc.) and some items with with a slight African twist. We make a point of having breakfast there at least once during our trip (we have a rental car, so getting there isn't a big issue). If this is your one chance to eat there conveniently, then I would try it.

I totally agree with the coffee statement. It is delicious. Overall, Boma is a really good breakfast.

I loved Boma's breakfast. On our last trip I made ressies for 2 reasons. 1) I wanted to see the lodge. 2) I've heard such great things about the dinning at the lodge, and not just Boma. We plan on traveling there just for breakfast. It's that good.

We ate breakfast at Boma for the first time last year. My SIL and family joined us. Everything was delicious, especially the juice! It was so good that we decided to go back a second time to take my mom a little later in our trip. Since you will be staying at AKL, I would definitely make it a point to eat breakfast there.

I've never had breakfast at BOMA, but my aunt and cousin went for an early breakfast on a recent trip and just loved it. They enjoyed seeing the animals out and about that time of day too and said they would do it again.

It is definitely worth it in my opinion as well. We loved everything we tried there. The juice, the coffee, the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and chives, the raisin bread french toast. I could go on and on but I won't. Definitely a must do.

We have eaten breakfast there a couple times and enjoyed it. A good way to try Boma as they have the standard fare along with some Boma signature stuff, so a good mix.

Definately try it if you are there!! We loved it! We are also traveling from our resort to AKL for breakfast @ Boma! We are going to AK that day too so I hope it works out well for us!
