I cant remeber if u guys liked this place or not.....DH and I are THINKING about eating here...TIA!!!!

Dh, myself and dd, 11, ate there in Nov'04. We loved it!!! I am not very adventurous when it comes to food, and dd is happy with only mac and cheese or chicken fingers. Both those were offered at Boma so she was quite happy!! I was in heaven!!! I didn't try everything there was but what I did try was awsome. Dh took a little bit of just about everything there was!!! After 3 trips up to the different stations he was finally full. There is a huge variety offered...something for everyone. We are going back in June. Not only is the food wonderful but it is visually wonderful also. We loved everything about it.

I love it!! It's probably my favorite. In fact, I ate there twice when I did the 1/2 marathon last month. YUMMY!

if i am staying at POP..should we just drive or are we gonna be able to take the BUS...also they dont mind that U r not staying at AK?

In November we stayed the night at Port Orleans Riverside and drove over to have lunch at AKL, we had a parking pass from POR and were able to use it there. I don't know enough about how the buses run to be able to help with that. I can say that we did eat at Bouma in 2002 and it was excellant. I was ready to bust by the time we were done eating. The desserts were the best.

We didn't like it but apparently we are the exception. Most people here think its great.

And actually, I'd have liked it fine if I'd had reasonable expectations. Unfortuntely, my expectations had been set too high by the gushing.

One of our favorite places especially for breakfast! Whether breakfast or dinner make a PS without them the waits can be long. We are working for plans for April and I have already booked the Boma for three meals!!

We loved it and ate there back to back nights. We also had Chef TJ make us a special creation. He was so very nice! He was one of the reasons why we went back the next night. But it's a long story. Anyway, we all found something we really liked even my very picky DS!

I am another fan of Boma. Been there the past few trips and have yet to be disappointed.

As for driving or busing -- if you have a car and are coming from another resort I would drive it. Disney transportation doesn't go from one resort to another so it is easier to drive it yourself.

I am a picky eater BUT I love this place. I got to bome on EVERY trip to WDW. Try it. I am sure you'll be happy.

Ive only eaten breakfast here, but my friend and I enjoyed it very much. I would definitely go back.

Boma is my favorite place to eat in WDW, maybe in the real world too. There are so many things to choose from and so many unique flavors. I can't wait to go there again in May!

We ate there first time in Jan and loved it! In fact we ate with MelanieC and a few other DISers that night. My DW is usually not very adventuresome when it comes to trying something new to eat. So I finally coaxed her into Boma, and we both came out of there with a newfound favorite place to eat at WDW. As if we needed to do that.

Another thing that amazes me is when you call to make PS for Boma, how much the CMs make over it. I dont remember them making such a fuss about other places. Ohanas is another fav for us, but the CMs dont fuss over it.

Try it, dont think you will be dissapointed. Key to it is try a little of everything, then go back and get more of what suits your taste. My problem is I liked it all, AND IT SHOWS :earboy2:

DH and I really like the dinner buffet (have never been there for breakfast) and will be eating there again on our next trip as it's on the MyWay dining plan.
My suggestion is to drive as it will save you a LOT of time. Make a PS and you will have no problem parking in their lot, it's done all the time for every resort. When you stop at the gate just tell them you have a PS for Bomas. If you eat here be sure to take the time to look around the grounds.
Lots to see and be sure to ask some questions to the CMs that will be out by the savannah.
DH and I eat at the various resorts on every trip and have never encountered a problem parking. The only time we have ever been restricted was at the Contemporary on our last trip. We has a 10 a.m. PS for Chef Mickey and we were given a 3 hr. parking pass. This is because it's a monorail resort and they don't want people parking there and then spending the day in MK. But we have also eaten at restaurants in the Poly and GF with no time limit.

we eat at both while there. If it were up to me, we'd eat at Boma's at least 3 times. If you like your food to taste familiar, you may not like it. Nothing tastes the way you'd expect it to. Which I think is great!! I tasted a little of just about everything, and loved it all. Went back twice for the prime rib, 3 times for the carrot ginger soup, the coconut chicken curry stew and the seafood gumbo. Can't wait till July, Boma's is our first and last PS.

Try it with an open mind.

We love this restaurant! It's always a must-do! Soups are always great, as are the zebra domes!!!

I like it, especially the hummus and the zebra domes. It's rather noisy due to the high ceilings, but the buffet itself is not crowded.
