I am considering adding Boma to our upcoming reservation. We've never been there...is it worth the trip. It would be replacing Kona Cafe. On a side note, I am allergic to shellfish...would this be a problem at Boma?

If you have any pictures of the food or restaurant, I would love to see them.

Thanks!

We hated Boma. We usually like buffets but were not impressed at all with this one.

As it is a buffet, you should be fine choosing something they have out other than shellfish--make sure you tell them when you book though! There is also a place to put that request when booking online as well.

I usually avoid buffets, and BOMA is the only one I really like and would always return to.

They have a good variety of meat and vegetable dishes.

You should have no problem finding plenty to eat with a shellfish allergy - mention it when you make your ADR, verify the info when you meet your server, and usually a chef will escort you through the buffet line and tell you what you should avoid.

Boma is our all time favorite, last time we were there (Oct 09) they had Prime Rib and Ribs along with other items, no shell fish. They also have a great desert bar and several different types of soups..

I guess if you like spices you wouldnt mind Boma.. for some it is like an acquired taste.. you Love it or You dont! I love it!!! Cinnamon in my rice.. coconut milk in my chicken dish, they also have meat carving station which is "normal" roasting if you can call that... love the dessert bar... cold slow with pineapple etc..

I wish I can post pictures but by the time I remember to take a pic of it well the plate is empty.... :lmao:

Goodluck

Boma has a lot of food choices and salads and desserts like it very much. Lot of choice and not much fish however

If I were in your shoes (and I totally wish I were!!) I'd replace Kona with Boma.

Boma is my all-time favorite restaurant. It is very different but the food is amazing.

I go to WDW just to eat at Boma! :cool1:
