Anyone have a complete list of the foods at the Boma buffet so I know what expect?

Also, what are everyone's opinions of Boma (good and bad)?

TIA! :goodvibes

We were there 4 weeks ago, and I'm sorry, I can't give you a detailed list of the foods offered, but.... DS, who can tend to be picky, LOVES Boma. There are several vegetable and starch offerings that are ethnic, but they also have chicken, salmon, sliced roast beef, etc. Have you tried some of the menu websites?

Boma is my favorite restaurant in all of WDW. I don't have a list but there is humus, couscous, vegitable dishes, breads, and soups. Each time I have eaten there the two main dishes are a slightly spicy crusted salmon and a prime rib dish.

I think the coffee press pot is also great.

My family loves Boma...we've been there three times and can't wait to get back.
There is something for everyone at this place- if you like to try different things, different foods and you like a taste of it all- this is a great place to go. There is a huge selection of great food here.
There are also tons of great options for the "basic US foods" here...and it's not just added to the menu to please everyone, it's WELL prepared and everything tastes good.

Before I had gone, I didn't know if it was something I'd like, but I was so wrong! LOVE Boma. My dad, who is not a Disney person, said we HAVE to go there anytime we're in the area, even if we're not at Disney, lol. It's the only food place we've gone to on *every* Disney trip.

LOVED it, even my DD who is a chicken nuggets gal. It will be our only return on our next trip!

Boma is my absolute favorite restaurant on property -- and I've always considered myself a picky eater. Maybe I'm becoming more adventurous in my old age :rotfl2: -- be sure to try the pork tenderloin and the salmon. I also really like the carrot ginger soup (enough that I got the recipe and make it at home!). They change the menu pretty frequently but check out the link below for a general idea.

O.K., I'll lead off the Nay-sayers...BOMA:scared1:

We are generally very adventurous eaters, and have liked every other WDW restaurant we've tried...do not stick to just "meat & taters", lol.

We found the place incredibly loud & crowded...long, long lines at every food station...10 minutes in line per plate.

And the food was just not to out liking at all...what looked like dee-lish BBQ ribs was...CINNAMON! Tasted like ribs cooked in Red Hots candy. We just found everything to be either way over-spiced (and in odd combinations) OR was totally bland & tasteless. No happy mediums.

Now, that said, I understand there were some plainer, more usual American buffett type choices somewhere there, but it was so crowded when we were there we never saw them...

Good thread. My DW and I are looking to try Boma on our May for the 1st time. Keep the reviews coming. :thumbsup2

DH and I had an anniversary dinner at Boma. We are not very adventerous eaters, but we loved sampling the ethnic dishes as well as being able to select from some of the comfort foods that we are used to (carved meat, salads, roasted potatoes). We had 6:30pm reservations and did not experience any lines at any of the stations. That's the great thing about Boma - if there is a long line at one station, you can easily move on to another station that has a shorter line.

Toward the end of our meal, our waitress told us to let her know when we were ready for dessert. The chef had prepared a beautiful hand-made dessert for us!

DS and I went to Boma for breakfast last october... we loved it! The food was wonderful, there was a lot of variety. (and it was economical...**cheap** LOL!)

Thanks for all of your replies! I'm glad to hear such positive feedback! We are generally adventurous eaters, so it sounds like I won't be disappointed with this meal.

We have had breakfast and dinner here. Both were one of the best meals we have had at Disney. Even a couple of our picky eaters enjoyed it;)

We LOVE Boma! Probably our favorite restaurant in all of WDW--definitely the best buffet! We took a group of 9 people there in May for both breakfast and dinner, and a couple of them are extremely picky, but everyone loved both meals! I think there is something for everyone there. We were going to skip Boma in June since we've been there the last 3 trips, but we decided we just didn't want to miss it, so I'll be making an ADR for it at the 90 day mark.

I loved Boma. The food was amazing, the staff friendly, the ambience inviting...it was my favorite restaurant and first on my list to book in April!

We love Boma. We've been there a few times, and are looking forward to dinner there in a few weeks. I love the pork and beef, and the roasted chicken. And the desserts are wonderful!
