We were at DW in December and made a trip over to AKL to see the Christmas decorations. We noticed the wonderful smells coming from Boma and are planning on eating there next trip. I haven't even looked it up yet to see what is offered.

Just curious, what is everyone's opinion here?

We LOVE Boma...it's one of the few places in WDW where we can always get something vegetarian that is really good. :cool1:

We love it so much, we had our wedding rehearsal dinner there. Our guests really enjoyed it. They have a huge selection of interesting foods, and everyone can find something to eat there.

I have found that the dinner buffet is much better than the breakfast buffet, and it tends to get really crowded quickly. I wouldn't attempt to dine without a ressie.

It is one of our favorite restaurants in WDW by far!

It's excellent. DH and I liked it so much that we booked another ADR for later in our stay. It's not spicy like Ethiopian, I found it more like Middle Eastern/North African. DH loved the meat dishes, and there are tons of interesting veggie choices for me.

Here's a partial list of the dinner buffet:

African Breads

Mixed Field Greens:
Mango Vinaigrette, Paw Paw Vinaigrette,
Chili Cilantro Vinaigrette, Balsamic Vinaigrette
Potato Salad
Fresh Fruit

Pasta Salad
Watermelon Rind Salad
Kool Slaai
Chicken Salad with Chili Cilantro
Moroccan Seafood Salad - Couscous, mussels, scallops and shrimp

Avocado, Grapefruit, Papaya, Curry Cucumber Salad, Spinach and Beet Salad

Macaroni and Cheese
Saffron Rice

African Soups and Stews:
Chicken Corn Porridge
Smoked Tomato Soup

Sweet Potato Pancakes
Vegetable Lentil Kofta
Pap
Braised Greens
FuFu
Potatoes with Afritude

Durban Spiced Roasted Chicken
Malabu Pepper Steak

Grilled Seafood

Wood Roasted Meats

Vegetable Skewers
Chicken Pepper Pot
Coconut Curried Chicken Soup
Curried Coconut Seafood Stew
Couscous Marrakesh

Chicken Tenders
Spaghetti and Meatballs

Wonderful Dessert Buffet including:
Zebra Domes
Simba Paw Prints

They rotate dishes throughout the week, but I don't have the full rotation list. There are many dishes to try!

We love Boma. A dinner buffet there is part of nearly every trip we make. It is a nice place to try new foods. The seafood stew is fabulous -- the soups change, so it might not be there every day. I think Deb Wills' site has all the menus and even the soup rotation. www.allearsnet.com The zebra domes and little pumpkin tarts are family favorites, too.

We always get a reservation. It is well worth scheduling into your trip.

Boma is one of my absolute favorites. If you're at least somewhat adventurous in your eating, I'd definitely try it. :)

Another Boma fan here... The food is so good and not typical buffet offerings. We are NOT buffet lovers, but Boma is the one we love and go to every trip. Love the desserts, especially the banana bread pudding with vanilla sauce!!! :goodvibes

Disappointed. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't nearly as good as I expected after hearing so many rave reviews. I'm not a buffet fan though. I was expecting better quality food than I got - good enough to get me over "not a buffet fan."

Soups were excellent - but its a lot of money for soup.

Absolutely love Boma (and Jiko, too, for that matter). It is a must do for us on each trip, both for breakfast and dinner. :thumbsup2
