BoMA vs. Tusker House

If you could only do one of the two which would you go with - BoMA or Tusker House?

For breakfast I give a narrow edge to TH, for dinner Boma. BOTH are TERRIFIC!!

Boma - better for breakfast and dinner, IMO, unless you want characters. But, Tusker House is an awesome choice, too.

We did TH lunch and Boma dinner on our trip last week, and while both were very good I like the food at Boma better. If you want a character meal though, TH has probably the best food of the character buffets. You can't go wrong with either choice, its really just a matter of whether you want characters or not.

Boma has better food. But having character interaction as you eat in the AC sure beats waiting in line. If you have your own transportation, I would do Boma. If you're relying on Disney would probably stick with Tusker House for simplicity.

Not to hijack, but would anyone do both Tusker House and Boma in the same trip both for breakfast? I booked Tusker House as we traditionally always do that on our AK day, and I also booked Boma later in the week since we're staying at AKL for the first time. Didn't even think about how similar they probably are.

On our last trip we did both for breakfast. LOVED them both!! Boma was probably my favorite meal that I've had in WDW. I didn't notice that the two restaurants were too similar that it was off-putting. That thought never even entered my mind, they were two separate experiences. Since you are staying at AKL, I would definitely keep the Boma ressie! Enjoy! I'm jealous!

You bet. Honestly both are great, you can't go wrong.

I was browsing to ask a similar question. Is Boma breakfast very different from Tusker House? I've had Tusker House breakfast before and Boma for dinner, but never the other way around.

BOMA hands down.

I like Boma after 10am - not that many people aka all the bread pudding is MINEEE - plus it's like a brunch! 2 meals in 1 with the meat and asparagus then you have simba waffles and *drools*

If I am not mistaken (which is always possible!), both Boma and Tusker House are overseen by the same chef, and the offerings are pretty similar. As such, I would give the edge to whichever suits your schedule better. Both are at the top of the WDW buffet class, in my opinion at least. If forced to choose, my gut tells me that Boma has the edge...plus that leaves you the option to eat at Yak & Yeti in the park - ha!
