My DH and I will be having dinner at both Jiko and Boma--one on Wednesday, 9/8 and the other on Thursday 9/9. We plan on visiting MK after dinner on Wednesday for a few quick rides then watch Wishes, so we want to eat at whichever restaurant will be fastest. We haven't been to either one, but I have a good idea what they are like. We don't intend to rush because we want to enjoy the experience, however if one of them takes notoriously longer, then we will go to that one on Thursday.

So my questions are:

1. Does anyone know what the earliest PS is that I can make for each of these restaurants for dinner?

2. I'm not sure if the buffet atmosphere will take longer because you can talk to the chefs, try out many different items, etc. or if Jiko will take longer because it is a fancy sit-down restaurant. Which one have you found to take the longest?

Any helpful information is appreciated! Thank you!

I would recommend Boma for speed. Get an early PS bcs otherwise the waits (even with a PS) get a little long, as it is very popular (with good reason).

Jiko is a more relaxed pace and things go a lot more slowly because it is a fancy sit-down dinner and frequently the chef's will come out and talk to you. We chatted with both the wine steward and the chef at some length when we were there, and had tastes of various different wines before deciding on the bottles we wanted. Jiko is just wonderful (our fav restaurant in all of WDW), but the pace is slow and relaxed, so perhaps this is not the best choice for you given your Wishes night schedule.

Boma is also excellent and can be had at a faster pace, bcs you are setting the pace since it's a buffet. Did I mention that the food is really good too? If you are looking for flavors you've never tried, this would be a good place to get a whole rainbow of them. The service (getting your drinks, chekc, new plates etc.) is also excellent. IMO Boma is a very good value for money. Jiko is too, but I think it will take too long given your time constraints on the MK night.

Enjoy!

Jiko will definitely take longer. It's a 4* restaurant, and it's fabulous and paced beautifully!

Boma you can go at your own pace.

Enjoy!

Boma is definately faster..approx an hour, give or take. Without rushing.

Jiko..plan a good two hours...they allow time between courses, etc. Very relaxing.
