I'm thinking of going to Boma's for breakfast based on the positive reviews that I've read.

Does Boma have windows that overlook the Savannah or other AKL property?

If not, is there an area in the hotel where we can view see the animals?

Thanks.

Jenny, none of the restaurants overlook the savannah - but there are several viewing areas in the resort from which you can see the animals- you shouldn't have a problem.

Thanks lmk....i'll know now to ask around for the viewing areas in the hotel after we eat at Boma's. The kids will love that.

From the allearsnet pics, it looks like there might be windows in this restaurant...i was just curious what it overlooked. does anyone know? is window seating something to request w/ an ADR?

Boma does have windows in it and they over look trees and a walkway and it also faces towards the pool. You can't really get a clear view of the pool but that is the direction it faces.

As for viewing animals while there you can walk towards the back of the lobby and that brings you to a large viewing area. You can also go into the pool area and in the back you can view Flamingo's. Hope you enjoy your trip and meal.

thank you so much luvfigment....we are looking forward to every aspect of our upcoming Jan. trip....just walking around the AKL sounds wonderful & i would prefer window seating at Boma's if possible...we hope to stay there some day.

We just ate at Boma's. Boma's is downstairs. The restaurant itself is fabulous. We had everything on the menu. It was great. After dinner, we went to the lobby. We walked towards the back of the lobby and went downstairs and outside. They had a firepit going. It was wonderful. Then we took the walkway and met a CM from Africa. He told us about the different animals we were looking at. It was very good. AKL next time for us.

We had Thanksgiving dinner at Boma's! It was fantastic. The restaurant is within the hotel, downstairs from the lobby. You will be able to look up and around and see Victoria Falls lounge area, winding stairs to different decks on the way to the lobby, etc. The windows in here face a walkway that leads to the pool area, but you won't be able to see the pool. You'll see shrubs and people walking. On the other side of the walkway are the windows in Jiko. A window seat is not something I'd ask for, but thats just me. I prefer to be in the back or center area so that I can take in all the sights, sounds and unique decorative style of this restaurant.

Hope you love it here as much as we have!
