On the menu for Boam it says they have "wood roasted meats" Can someone explain what types of meat and how the are cooked?

TIA

How are they cooked? My guess is they are wood roasted :teeth:

Seriously, I don't know the exact method of cooking, but I've had the prime rib and the flank steak and both were delicious. Especially the flank steak, which I believe is only served on Thursday nights?

The meats are wonderful, especially the prime rib. My dd loved it.A wood roating oven is just that...it cooks with "logs" much like over an open fire in taste. Many restaurants are now wood roasting pizza now too. Try Boma...you'll love it.

Boma-what a place! You will love it! Have never had a bad experience there. I believe the meat is cooked like cvemom said on a rotisserie in an oven using wood for the flames. You have to go. We have ps there when we go in August!

I know the guy that was tending the meats told us that they are marinaded for quite some time too. Not sure if that means all lof them are but thought I'd add in to the discussion.

Enjoy!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....... and then put the Boma mustard on it............... (they need a drool face smilie)

Most of the recipes I got from them say to marinate 8 to 24 hours. I

've done them for less time when I forget to start it soon enough, but it's always oh-so-much-better when done for a long time! :teeth:

Kevin,

So sorry about your dog! I know how hard it is to lose a member of your family! I'm a cat person and lost a few to old age. I will remember them fondly and adopted others, that were a little older, that had been abandoned by stupid people. They should have laws stricter for people who abuse animals. I think they get off too easy! Anyway, I have two, well loved, well fed cats. I hope in time you will find another friend for your family and remember your old friend with good memories!

Is there always a beef?

Where's the beef?! I think they always have the prime rib, probably not as good as Shulas, but......

:teeth:

Thanks Figment. It has been difficult. It's been a little touchy here the last day or so because we've had our 13 year old lab at the vet w/ problems. But the old guy refuses to go down (lol) and is back home. It would have been very tough losing both within 2 weeks of each other. The surprising part was losing our german shephard first because we never knew he had cancer and he was gone over the course of 3 days, just downhill real quick. Our lab, we've just kind of expected to lose in the near future, just cause he's old and really showing his age. Major still acted like a puppy, even though he was 11 years old. The kids, 9 and 6 have done better than we have....haha.
